		<official-title>To amend the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 to extend
		  the Small Business Lending Fund Program, to provide for an appeals process, and

		<section id="HA3462173C69D4B67A39F29C3EB7326DF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Small Business Lending Extension Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HD2FE6BB487CF48378E4C749492365784"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension and
			 updating of the Small Business Lending Fund Program</header>
			<subsection id="H24CD8A5EA5BA4F56AA6B436FC0A0AD2D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Small Business
			 Lending Fund Program extension</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 4109(a) of the Small Business Jobs
			 Act of 2010 is amended by striking <quote>1 year</quote> and inserting <quote>2
			 years</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H00EFD4919A5D460AAB174CB34055A95F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Appeal process;
			 Reapplication</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 4103 of
			 the Small Business Jobs Act of 2010 is amended by adding at the end the
			 following new subsection:</text>

					<subsection id="H372C6FDD0C6D4373A0B51D03F05F358F"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Appeal process;
				Reapplication</header>
						<paragraph id="H3C1A5B12053341A89CAE5C7DDB665AB2"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Disclosure of
				reason for rejection</header>
							<subparagraph id="HC609DE5147964D25B26D55BA62576BD8"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>With respect to any institution that submits an
				application to receive a capital investment from the Fund, and has such
				application rejected by the Secretary, the Secretary shall supply the
				institution with the reason for such rejection.</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H1020EEA4494E40C0973EAA82D7FCADCC"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Confidentiality</header><text>The
				Secretary, in consultation with the appropriate Federal banking agency for an
				institution, shall ensure that the rejection reason described under
				subparagraph (A) is kept confidential except as provided under that
				subparagraph.</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H0B7C855C137F49E6A6476C6363AF50DB"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Appeal of
				rejection</header><text>With respect to an institution described under
				paragraph (1)(A), the Secretary shall establish an appeal process that provides
				the institution with an opportunity to contest the reasons that were provided
				for the rejection of the institution’s application to receive a capital
				investment from the Fund.</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="HA60C0778ABF44E6F80C43F09F10C76F3"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Reapplication</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall issue regulations
				allowing an institution described under paragraph (1)(A) to reapply to receive
				a capital
				investment.</text>
