<section id="HF5B601C64C844461B463FF884FEFB227" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Elimination of mandatory printing of bills and resolutions for use of offices of Members of Congress</header> 
<subsection id="HDFF99FE1F0DC4FE8A98625533F11AD38"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Elimination of mandatory printing</header> 
<paragraph id="H37C40B0D903F434B96FAA53C3AED34DA"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In general</header><text>Chapter 7 of title 44, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 706 the following new section:</text> 
<quoted-block style="USC" id="H2E2EEEF92508456D89EDC1991894AA45" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<section id="H2D0F275D888342C49A0026A1C7B2B7EF"><enum>706A.</enum><header>Prohibiting printing of bills and resolutions for use of offices of Members of Congress</header> 
<subsection id="H85DE2715000B4E3589E47EE723808907"><enum>(a)</enum><header>No Printing Permitted</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Public Printer shall make bills and resolutions available for the use of offices of Members of Congress only in an electronic format which is accessible through the Internet.</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="HA916042D269F4BDAA6652F8FD4B28E18"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Member of Congress defined</header><text>In this section, a <quote>Member of Congress</quote> means a Senator or a Representative in, or Delegate or Resident Commissioner to, the Congress. </text></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H41B7E2D2272D425A8C83D1CD5E13E350"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Conforming amendment</header><text>Section 706 of such title is amended—</text> 
<subparagraph id="HBB74D903B99B4E7EA5DD5DE5AC0E8A19"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking <quote>There shall be printed</quote> each place it appears and inserting <quote>Subject to section 706A, there shall be printed</quote>; and </text></subparagraph> 
<subparagraph id="HEB55247D5DCB452591BE7F359A76BDB7"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking <quote>Of concurrent and simple resolutions</quote> and inserting <quote>Subject to section 706A, of concurrent and simple resolutions</quote>.</text></subparagraph></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HBCFC6D1599324F3C8C3F405A293CAB36"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Clerical amendment</header><text>The table of sections of chapter 7 of such title is amended by inserting after the item relating to section 706 the following new item:</text>

<subsection id="H80BFE39302F34FFBACCF1B76DF7F68F4"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective Date</header><text>The amendments made by this Act shall take effect upon the expiration of the 3-month period which begins on the date of the enactment of this Act. </text></subsection></section>
