		<official-title>To amend title 18, United States Code, impose penalties
		  for failing to report, within a reasonable amount of time, the disappearance or
		  death of a child, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H7513E20D42F34D98AC39D45E3E971545" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Caylee Anthony Caregiver
			 Responsibility Act of 2011</short-title></quote> or as the <quote>Caylee’s Law
			 of 2011</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HF94EB8D5B0134FF58716CDDFA61EFF1B"><enum>2.</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Chapter 47 of title
			 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after section 1038 the
			 following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HB30FCA3016FF4E6E906DB25211A9112D" style="USC">
				<section id="H6B161EE0EEB643D28FD03C371056B632"><enum>1038A.</enum><header>Failure to
				report a missing or dead child</header>
					<subsection id="HD12F009F59814F159477A55835FFB705"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Offenses</header>
						<paragraph id="HF6CE13152618474196D02A11D1F702C0"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Failure to
				report missing child</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Whoever,
				being a parent of a child who has been missing for more than 24 hours, fails to
				report that the child is missing to the appropriate authorities and travels in
				interstate or foreign commerce or acts within the special maritime and
				territorial jurisdiction of the United States in committing the offense, shall
				be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than 5 years, or
				both.</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="H9FFF79E0097E44E1976E283B5ED07CE8"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Concealment of
				dead child</header><text>Whoever, being a parent of a child who has been dead
				for more than 1 hour, fails to report that death to the appropriate authorities
				and travels in interstate or foreign commerce or acts within the special
				maritime and territorial jurisdiction of the United States in committing the
				offense, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more than 5
				years, or both.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H584FBEBADB104B849A08A82528CC0D1B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In this section:</text>
						<paragraph id="H827793CCFA5C4E21A8E23C8D6090B697"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Parent</header><text>The
				term <term>parent</term> means a parent, legal guardian, or other person with
				custody of a child.</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="H05D7DE863F4D4D3A813AFDBFBAD32582"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Child</header><text>The
				term <term>child</term> means a person under the age of 12
				years.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
		</section><section id="H3F750CF184484EB5BCC4150A3BF95AE4"><enum>3.</enum><header>Clerical
			 amendment</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The table of
			 sections for chapter 47 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by
			 inserting after the item regarding section 1038 the following:</text>
