		  Protection Act to repeal the authority of the Bureau of Consumer Financial

		<section id="HA14697DEBB494052B711FFCFAB4B78DF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Repeal</header>
			<subsection id="H47D664D029744599B8747E708354941E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1031 of the
			 Dodd-Frank Wall Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act is hereby
			 repealed.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H75C722F67981438EB3CF568493268C79"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendments</header>
				<paragraph id="H4A4B677ED3694F9896353E746F4DA60E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Dodd-Frank
			 Act</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Dodd-Frank Wall
			 Street Reform and Consumer Protection Act is amended—</text>
					<subparagraph id="HE1047E17FA7B444DA3BAF77919505351"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in the table of
			 contents for such Act, by striking the item relating to section 1031;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFC20D65760E34C2690DD4CD662BF711B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in section
			 1036(a)—</text>
						<clause id="H8E976DE5A33C4931B3580417FECCD9F7"><enum>(i)</enum><text>in
			 paragraph (1)(B), by adding <quote>or</quote> at the end;</text>
						</clause><clause id="H5352D302429541BEB8A17869DB58F02E"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>in
			 paragraph (2)(C), by striking <quote>; or</quote> and inserting a period;
			 and</text>
						</clause><clause id="HB3669E3FEA42466ABF83E3C25B6277AD"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>by
			 striking paragraph (3); and</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H924EB4D0AADD4EEFA5FB80C770CA8269"><enum>(C)</enum><text>in section
			 1061(b)(5)—</text>
						<clause id="HBED2E10F158E427696E63DF47192C88B"><enum>(i)</enum><text>by
			 amending subparagraph (B) to read as follows:</text>
							<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H4840695AA89F48B7BDC5DD0F0EBBC2F2" style="OLC">
								<subparagraph id="H3E23140A1EB241DEB86BE17673A1FA11"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Bureau
				authority</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Bureau shall
				have all powers and duties under the enumerated consumer laws to prescribe
				rules, issue guidelines, or to conduct studies or issue reports mandated by
				such laws, that were vested in the Federal Trade Commission on the day before
				the designated transfer
				date.</text>
								</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
						</clause><clause id="HAC90C3DC1E2143D692BFA6709A02B666"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>by
			 striking subparagraph (D); and</text>
						</clause><clause id="H5E215800FDB24854AD290E7B7F587CF0"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>by
			 redesignating subparagraph (E) as subparagraph (D).</text>
						</clause></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H6F3E9D04B5704A0785334924756F725A"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Telemarketing
			 and Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 3(c) of the Telemarketing and
			 Consumer Fraud and Abuse Prevention Act is amended to read as follows:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF35DAB43CD3E47C3AE422632CE1D3728" style="OLC">
						<subsection id="H46DA5BCADE5C4A7DB60FE27B25AFF269"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Violations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Any violation of any rule prescribed under
				subsection (a) shall be treated as a violation of a rule under section 18 of
				the Federal Trade Commission Act regarding unfair or deceptive acts or
				practices.</text>
