			 money recovered at airport security checkpoints</header>
			<subsection id="HD62695D991E44BEABE0C4769BD335B05"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Donation to
			 USO</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 44945 of title
			 49, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>shall be retained by the
			 Transportation Security Administration</quote> and all that follows before the
			 period at the end and inserting <quote>shall be annually transferred, without
			 further appropriation, by the Assistant Secretary of Homeland Security
			 (Transportation Security Administration) to United Service Organizations,
			 Incorporated, to provide funding for its activities in support of USO airport
			 centers</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H827897E1781B40CCB005261AB7FE4315"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Annual
			 report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 515(b) of the
			 Department of Homeland Security Appropriations Act, 2005 (118 Stat. 1318) is
			 amended by striking <quote>and specifically how the unclaimed money is being
			 used to provide civil aviation security</quote> and inserting <quote>and the
			 amount of unclaimed money transferred to United Service Organizations,
			 Incorporated, and the dates of such transfers</quote>.</text>

			 money and clothing recovered at airport security checkpoints</header>
			<subsection id="HF8084F8B34B3491B9B1BAA6DEBEA26D4"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 44945 of
			 title 49, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:</text>

					<section id="HC3BF408463C947B297A80F9FAD10ED73"><enum>44945.</enum><header>Disposition of
				unclaimed money and clothing</header>
						<subsection id="HDCEFCF654FD94ED589B3E125AD9FAF3F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Unclaimed
				money</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding section
				3302 of title 31, unclaimed money recovered at any airport security checkpoint
				shall be annually transferred, without further appropriation, by the Assistant
				Secretary of Homeland Security (Transportation Security Administration) to
				United Service Organizations, Incorporated, to provide funding for the
				activities of United Service Organizations, Incorporated, in support of USO
				airport centers.</text>
						</subsection><subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H69F91EE48302417386FEC87F985DC342"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Unclaimed
				clothing</header>
							<paragraph id="HC8FFA162A8DB4BB3807749A7F24F5A1D"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text>In disposing of unclaimed clothing recovered at any
				airport security checkpoint, the Assistant Secretary shall make every
				reasonable effort, in consultation with the Secretary of Veterans Affairs, to
				transfer the clothing to local veterans organizations or other local charitable
				organizations for distribution to homeless or needy veterans and veteran
				families.</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="HC14D52D3FE1D4410B91EEF642C7F035C"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Agreements</header><text>In
				implementing paragraph (1), the Assistant Secretary may enter into agreements
				with airport authorities.</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="HA5795FD2EC664F46AFCBB80830F14638"><enum>(3)</enum><header>Other charitable
				arrangements</header><text>Nothing in this subsection shall prevent an airport
				or the Transportation Security Administration from donating unclaimed clothing
				to a charitable organization of their choosing.</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="H8FF7747D18A844B3AD97E9A69518DCB8"><enum>(4)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text>Nothing
				in this subsection shall create a cost to the Government.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H8B5BBCFB97464900837CF71D3A6AFA41"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Annual
				report</header><text>The Assistant Secretary shall submit, on an annual basis,
				to the Committee on Homeland Security and the Committee on Appropriations of
				the House of Representatives and the Committee on Commerce, Science, and
				Transportation and the Committee on Appropriations of the Senate a report that
				contains a detailed description of—</text>
							<paragraph id="HB0E17A5EBFE643BDBF49FCA31B96A4B3"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the amount of unclaimed
				money described in subsection (a) recovered in total and at each individual
				airport; and</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="HB0A7E08C654C402D8659A5D682620DC6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the amount of unclaimed
				money described in subsection (a) transferred to United Service Organizations,
				Incorporated, under this section and the dates of such
				transfers.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H727A7ABB920549A7946233D9B8F60376"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Clerical
			 amendment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The item relating
			 to such section in the table of sections at the beginning of chapter 449 of
			 such title is amended to read as follows:</text>

			 note) is repealed.</text>
