		<official-title>To require that State and local pretrial services
		  agencies receiving Federal financial assistance report to the Department of
		  Justice on defendants released by such agencies, and for other
		  purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H6A4BB0E2C1024C73B986B04A3D6CB477" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Citizens Right to Know Act of
			 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HC516E3D252BE452D9FE1706BD0E5846F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reporting
			 Requirements</header>
			<subsection id="H493116C1772F4502A173D0190C9E5E31"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Monthly report
			 on agency operations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not
			 later than the last day of each month, a State or local pretrial services
			 agency that receives Federal financial assistance shall submit to the Attorney
			 General a report that includes the following:</text>
				<paragraph id="H5BED1084270F4C7F97B1741AC2B8BDA2"><enum>(1)</enum><text>The number of
			 individuals reviewed for pretrial release by that agency during the reporting
			 period.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HD297B18ECB52423DB37E2AAFD3B26ABF"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The number of indigent individuals reviewed
			 for pretrial release by that agency during the reporting period.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H668361D1C6DD48CB891CFAA2F39E90D9"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The number of individuals assigned to
			 pretrial services by that agency during the reporting period, and the name of
			 each such individual.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H4BF86B70B2C04CA5B76B2334439AE97D"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The number of indigent individuals accepted
			 into a pretrial release program by that agency during the reporting period, and
			 the name of each such individual.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HE359CE269D054870A781912CCB816239"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A list of each charge filed against each
			 individual accepted into a pretrial release program by that agency during the
			 reporting period.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H0B2D137334864BDC99F9E9406C730777"><enum>(6)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A list of all prior criminal convictions of
			 each individual accepted into a pretrial release program by that agency during
			 the reporting period.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HBFC8C9F812DE41178E65CB841E7829E1"><enum>(7)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A list of the court appearances required of
			 each individual accepted into a pretrial release program by that agency during
			 the reporting period.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H25CB49C4EBD2425888BBCAFDD323132E"><enum>(8)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A list of each instance during the
			 reporting period on which an individual accepted into a pretrial release
			 program by that agency failed to appear at a scheduled court appearance.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HFA3E599CA6D64D95B13C686AC29435D7"><enum>(9)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A list of all warrants issued or arrests
			 made during the reporting period of each individual accepted into a pretrial
			 release program by that agency.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H81AC2E5EFAC845CCBBC98B64BFD11892"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Annual report on
			 agency budget</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than
			 the last day of the fiscal year in which this Act is enacted, and annually
			 thereafter, a State or local pretrial services agency that receives Federal
			 financial assistance shall submit to the Attorney General a report that
			 contains information on that agency’s budget for that year.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="HCB64EADCC4DD42BCB98703DF68EC1BDF"><enum>3.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph id="H5356565A770240DFAE0F63408587E576"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The term <quote>State or local pretrial
			 services agency</quote> means any government entity which provides pretrial
			 services or any private non-profit entity contracted with to do the
			 same.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HA7CF1260619A4A9CAFA09648723C946B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>The term
			 <quote>Federal financial assistance</quote> has the meaning given such term in
			 section 7501(a)(5) of title 31, United States Code.</text>
			</paragraph></section></legis-body>
