		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to provide for
		  employment and reemployment rights for certain individuals ordered to full-time
		  National Guard duty.</official-title>

		<section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H7930606FEDE14D23AB3E0D7ADF3B0BF0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>National Guard Employment Protection
			 Act of 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H10405685FCAB41DB995C95C04C241B7D"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reemployment
			 rights following certain National Guard duty</header>
			<subsection id="H00521ED146484313ACFE01FAB7164626"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Reemployment
			 rights</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 4312(c)(4) of
			 title 38, United States Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="HD07F4B9D5C8443C89F7F82156455D0A7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>or</quote> at the end of subparagraph (D);</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3E6D1A1F272843B9840EFCD80308D534"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking the
			 period at the end of subparagraph (E) and inserting <quote>; or</quote>;
			 and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HD676D139A4274D3ABCC6F31BAE19FF06"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new subparagraph:</text>
					<quoted-block id="HD7C3A4C730764C6C866D955F110FB895" style="OLC">
						<subparagraph id="HCE17C0E7AE72403B96D4885F1111D224"><enum>(F)</enum><text>ordered to
				full-time National Guard duty under the provisions of section 502(f) of title
				32 when the period of duty is expressly designated in writing by the Secretary
				of Defense as covered by this
				subparagraph.</text>
						</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HDFD057155E394243B01D39BB0D2AAE8A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>Subparagraph (F) of section 4312(c)(4) of title 38, United
			 States Code, as added by subsection (a), shall apply with respect to an
			 individual ordered to full-time National Guard duty under section 502(f) of
			 title 32, United States Code, on or after September 11, 2001, and shall entitle
			 such individual to rights and benefits under chapter 43 of title 38 of such
			 Code on or after that date.</text>
