		<official-title>To amend title XVIII of the Social Security Act to
		  exclude certain advanced diagnostic imaging services from the in-office
		  ancillary services exception to the prohibition on physician
		  self-referral.</official-title>

		<section id="H4B2E24D335A04AEEB63568CED4CD8827" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Integrity in Medicare Advanced
			 Diagnostic Imaging Act of 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HE1C286E38E4447269EE13BAD629291ED"><enum>2.</enum><header>Excluding certain
			 advanced diagnostic imaging services from the in-office ancillary services
			 exception to the prohibition on physician self-referral</header>
			<subsection id="H6D2EDCD894A84A9BBE20B17AA441B0FC"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 1877(b)(2) of
			 the Social Security Act (42 U.S.C. 1395nn(b)(2)) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="HE5C2F16C7297488ABD729B9A8D360B73"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the matter
			 before subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>and supplies</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>, supplies, and certain advanced diagnostic imaging services</quote>;
			 and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H0D2EFC2A6ACD46C185296F1ABED561ED"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following: <quote>For purposes of this paragraph, the term
			 <term>certain advanced diagnostic imaging services</term> means diagnostic
			 magnetic resonance imaging, computed tomography, and positron emission
			 tomography, and such other diagnostic imaging services, including services
			 described in section 1848(b)(4)(B) (but excluding X-ray, ultrasound, and
			 fluoroscopy), as specified by the Secretary in consultation with physician
			 specialty organizations and other stakeholders, but does not include imaging
			 services performed for purposes of radiation therapy treatment planning or in
			 conjunction with an interventional radiological procedure or nuclear medicine
			 other than positron emission tomography.</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H156C571C71B54FC5A98ABC872467C759"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by subsection (a) shall apply to
			 services furnished on or after the date of the enactment of this Act,
			 regardless of when the referral for such services is or was made.</text>
