		  for purposes of capital calculation under the Financial Institutions
		  Examination Council’s Consolidated Reports of Condition and

		<section id="H385742646B82449582A0A62DDC9FE6DF" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Capital Access for Main Street Act of
			 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HEFE5EE285D4B4E2FBCF9C422322E4BBA"><enum>2.</enum><header>Commercial real
			 estate loan loss amortization</header>
			<subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HAD61B0DE6D6D4BF1A01412CA746BFDD2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of
			 capital calculation under the Financial Institutions Examination Council’s
			 Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income, an insured depository institution
			 with assets of less than $10,000,000,000 may choose to amortize any loss or
			 write-down, on a quarterly straight-line basis over the 7-year period beginning
			 with the month in which such loss or write-down occurs, incurred with respect
			 to—</text>
				<paragraph id="HEF57442918D142DAA796543526AF058E"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">a loan secured by commercial real estate;
			 or</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H68CC0A0436AD421EA45F2CC45EF28CBE"><enum>(2)</enum><text>other real estate
			 owned.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HEA796C8850C543A786EB94CF49379C48"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The provisions of this section shall apply with respect to
			 capital calculations under Consolidated Reports of Condition and Income made
			 for losses and write-downs referred to in subsection (a) that occur during the
			 3-year period beginning on the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H7AA4244E1249439DA26040F64121979C"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Definitions</header><text>For
			 purposes of this section:</text>
				<paragraph id="H01D1D4F7A92E4E3EAB72F639DCBF25D3"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Insured
			 depository institution</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The
			 term <term>insured depository institution</term> shall have the meaning given
			 such term under section 3(c)(2) of the Federal Deposit Insurance Act (12 U.S.C.
			 1813(c)(2)).</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H43EAA99C745E43FB8D3E2B1D875F57D4"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Other real
			 estate owned</header><text>The term <term>other real estate owned</term> shall
			 have the meaning given such term under section 34.81 of title 12, Code of
			 Federal Regulations.</text>
