		<section id="H6EFA3ED5C4D14F40A484353A387E19A9" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Medal of Honor Gold Content
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H11BB9B3F50B54EDCB899448EBE7D6798"><enum>2.</enum><header>Required gold
			 content for Medal of Honor</header>
			<subsection id="H86F9ED5A4F9C4AECB13BFB4857A8664D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Army</header>
				<paragraph id="H912792F0B3174A6995C35DAA67C2F33F"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Gold
			 content</header><text>Section 3741 of title 10, United States Code, is
			 amended—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H4933037CB5B14834B75E04F98D235062"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>The President</quote> and inserting <quote>(a)
			 <header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Award</header-in-text>.—The
			 President</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H855C58FF4AAB4A8E82D111DD485D68BF"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new subsection:</text>

				the Medal of Honor shall be 90 percent gold and 10 percent
				alloy.</text>

					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H43BA222260C9487BAA96D7E71AD79C87"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Exception for
			 duplicate medal</header><text>Section 3754 of such title is amended by adding
			 at the end the following new sentence: <quote>Section 3741(b) of this title
			 shall not apply to the issuance of a duplicate Medal of Honor under this
			 section.</quote>.</text>

			 content</header><text>Section 6241 of title 10, United States Code, is
			 amended—</text>
					<subparagraph id="HCD087FDF60CF427C9D03D44082A6DAAE"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>The President</quote> and inserting <quote>(a)
			 <header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Award</header-in-text>.—The
			 President</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5D9B941B0DB84384B99AF9458E930051"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new subsection:</text>

			 duplicate medal</header><text>Section 6256 of such title is amended by adding
			 at the end the following new sentence: <quote>Section 6241(b) of this title
			 shall not apply to the issuance of a duplicate Medal of Honor under this
			 section.</quote>.</text>

			 Force</header>

			 content</header><text>Section 8741 of title 10, United States Code, is
			 amended—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H83FB2BB25EE74F54A5CFFCB9712296B5"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>The President</quote> and inserting <quote>(a)
			 <header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Award</header-in-text>.—The
			 President</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFC8F9565B0CC42CFB501F25A83010973"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new subsection:</text>

			 duplicate medal</header><text>Section 8754 of such title is amended by adding
			 at the end the following new sentence: <quote>Section 8741(b) of this title
			 shall not apply to the issuance of a duplicate Medal of Honor under this
			 section.</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H165496301B664EFF99E88EE33D8AC613"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Coast
			 Guard</header>
				<paragraph id="H3DE518971DA74903B33D93E8107323BE"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Gold
			 content</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 491 of title
			 14, United States Code, is amended—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H55B016C7B7844023963F88F77296CB9B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>The President</quote> and inserting <quote>(a)
			 <header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Award</header-in-text>.—The
			 President</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H217F552D2CD14523BB67C61EE6C40546"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following new subsection:</text>

					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HCCEC1A6F7428417A9435F4E4351A5C65"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Exception for
			 duplicate medal</header><text>Section 504 of such title is amended by adding at
			 the end the following new sentence: <quote>Section 491(b) of this title shall
			 not apply to the issuance of a duplicate Medal of Honor under this
			 section.</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HB4B2BCA857BF440E898C3FA5A9009553"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply with respect
			 to Medals of Honor awarded after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
