		  individuals may be accepted by the Federal Government and by financial
		  institutions.</official-title>

		<section id="H608D798F190A4A22ACDA4BE12A0F2605" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Photo Identification Security
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H84D6073BE19D41868BA6C914D58800A3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Forms of
			 acceptable identification for Federal Government purposes</header>
			<subsection id="H8BD970156E1543ED8B318DC7853D880A"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Forms of
			 acceptable identification</header><text>A Federal agency may not accept, for
			 any official purpose, including for Federal benefits and for individual
			 taxpayer identification numbers, any form of identification of an individual
			 other than the following:</text>
				<paragraph id="HB8D254074602464FB8D296CD89AB5F5D"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Social security
			 card with photo identification card or REAL ID Act identification</header>
					<subparagraph id="HBA209333FA2F421A82EC960702ED70E6"><enum>(A)</enum><text>A social security
			 card accompanied by a photo identification card issued by the Federal
			 Government or a State Government; or</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE05A85FF5CCF4C248E13927F56A37200"><enum>(B)</enum><text>a driver’s
			 license or identification card issued by a State in the case of a State that is
			 in compliance with title II of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (title II of division B
			 of Public Law 109–13; 49 U.S.C. 30301 note).</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HE8201722900A46CC860779E3D25A1053"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Passport</header><text>A
			 passport issued by the United States or a foreign government.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H1891AF7570834759B7536E59EB9F76AD"><enum>(3)</enum><header>USCIS photo
			 identification card</header><text>A photo identification card issued by the
			 Secretary of Homeland Security (acting through the Director of the United
			 States Citizenship and Immigration Services).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H25E01396F7FB4AD780C1942C9E8ABF37"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The requirements of subsection (a) shall take effect six
			 months after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="HD667A25996524F6685FEDD0576CD6138"><enum>3.</enum><header>Forms of
			 acceptable identification for financial institutions</header>
			<subsection id="HFAA0FF4877E7425FB881058BE2A6791A"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 5318(l) of
			 title 31, United States Code (relating to identification and verification of
			 accountholders) is amended by striking paragraph (6) and inserting the
			 following new paragraph:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H83A34AA986F44BB4ACFE403DDD526C65" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="H29F26A6950A345399906CD338BD6AE94"><enum>(6)</enum><header>Forms of
				acceptable identification</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A
				financial institution may not accept, for the purpose of verifying the identity
				of an individual seeking to open an account in accordance with this subsection,
				any form of identification of the individual other than the following:</text>
						<subparagraph id="HC45284A552AB42E189D4FF92784824FE"><enum>(A)</enum><header>Social security
				card with photo identification card or REAL ID Act identification</header>
							<clause id="HC9B49A78AE244B22837DE6C072798F8C"><enum>(i)</enum><text>A
				social security card accompanied by a photo identification card issued by the
				Federal Government or a State Government; or</text>
							</clause><clause id="H3C50437AEC6341C19F6355C98DC8B13C"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>a driver’s license or identification card issued by a State in the case of a
				State that is in compliance with title II of the REAL ID Act of 2005 (title II
				of division B of Public Law 109–13; 49 U.S.C. 30301 note).</text>
							</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H6777373EC88745F0967E3BFF25672F07"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Passport</header><text>A
				passport issued by the United States or a foreign government.</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H491A0E36F8ED4D9E8EAC4C00E785A9AD"><enum>(C)</enum><header>USCIS photo
				identification card</header><text>A photo identification card issued by the
				Secretary of Homeland Security (acting through the Director of the U.S.
				Citizenship and Immigration
				Services).</text>
						</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF4025802544143F8AC7B13D6DB188BA8"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by subsection (a) shall take effect six
			 months after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
