		<section id="HA11012B9E2D44E8098FBD9951CEF8CC1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title;
			 findings</header>
			<subsection id="H91339D85C4F842ABB3DBE54C7D40235D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Short
			 Title</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">This Act may be cited
			 as the <quote><short-title>Savings Start With Us Act of
			 2011</short-title></quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HBC67EB376F0A485DB2DA0C214FC5D3DB"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Findings</header><text>Congress
			 finds the following:</text>
				<paragraph id="H82216FE399AF4B42848572C99382577A"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">It is important to bring the Nation’s
			 spending under control and balance the budget.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H31945867E09A429B95B256FDD00AD26F"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Taxpayers all over
			 the Nation are making do with less money.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HB01C3DE78A1A449EB68CDD00476D5323"><enum>(3)</enum><text>Congress has asked
			 Federal agencies to make major cuts to their budgets.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HEBFDB72143FC49FCB637D816BF0D6CC2"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Members of
			 Congress must do their share to cut spending and reduce their salaries.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section><section id="H366B032DC5F84C07B06FEB4D94F43109" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reduction in pay for
			 Members of Congress</header>
			<subsection id="H7DA4CA0689B54519AA3F6B311CE15C9F"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Reduction</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any other provision of law,
			 the annual rate of pay for each Member of Congress shall be equal to—</text>
				<paragraph id="H47C6039029D143488B73C5ED3F7DCB6A"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">for pay periods occurring during 2013, the
			 applicable rate in effect for pay periods occurring during 2011 reduced by 10
			 percent, rounded to the nearest multiple of $100 (or, if midway between
			 multiples of $100, to the next higher multiple of $100); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H13E080845524494BB8E7A44D6C40D211"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">for subsequent pay periods, the applicable
			 rate during 2013, subject to adjustment under paragraph (2) of section 601(a)
			 of the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 (2 U.S.C. 31(2)).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H67DF28FE5653444D8F6000C284FF224A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Member of
			 Congress defined</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes
			 of this Act, the term <term>Member of Congress</term> means an individual
			 serving in a position under subparagraph (A), (B), or (C) of section 601(a) of
			 the Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 (2 U.S.C. 31).</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="HFE1656D935AB4A4193BEFFB5043DABF3"><enum>3.</enum><header>Reduction in pay
			 for President and Vice President</header>
			<subsection id="H1CD06D1857C240A79E3AA17807C291E0"><enum>(a)</enum><header>President</header>
				<paragraph id="H09AC34912E1B4402A1D31981F420638E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Reduction</header><text>Section
			 102 of title 3, United States Code, is amended by striking
			 <quote>$400,000</quote> and inserting <quote>$360,000</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3A1ACC70C58449AFB13C7657405B6052"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendment made by paragraph (1) shall apply to pay
			 periods beginning on or after January 1, 2013.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H51AAD50A140E409498226AE00E260F36"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Vice
			 President</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any
			 other provision of law, the per annum rate of salary for the Vice President of
			 the United States shall be equal to—</text>
				<paragraph id="H95F64CD99AD84798A82AB007E5ED9B3C"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">for pay periods occurring during 2013, the
			 applicable rate in effect for pay periods occurring during 2011 reduced by 10
			 percent, rounded to the nearest multiple of $100 (or, if midway between
			 multiples of $100, to the next higher multiple of $100); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HD635E158E75C4EC2813F209B20C2AB9F"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">for subsequent pay periods, the applicable
			 rate during 2013, subject to adjustment under section 104(a) of title 3, United
			 States Code.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body>
