		<official-title display="yes">Requiring that legislation considered by
		  the Senate to be confined to a single issue.</official-title>

		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id55D7BCAEECE6488EBF0E7A6516CDAA2B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Single issue requirement</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idDCC572535029445280A3C766D551DD61"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Point
			 of order</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">It shall not be in
			 order in the Senate to consider a bill or resolution that is not confined to a
			 single subject.</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID9F4582BB6DD04AEFBAD7375DB035CCBE"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Supermajority waiver and appeals</header>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID5BA7107400984F46976C9AD4977538D6"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Waiver</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">This section may be waived or suspended in
			 the Senate only by the affirmative vote of two-thirds of the Members, duly
			 chosen and sworn.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDF16390BC3AB14765B40A132D8AB77D85"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Appeals</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Appeals in the Senate from the decisions of
			 the Chair relating to any provision of this section shall be limited to 30
			 minutes, to be equally divided between, and controlled by, the appellant and
			 the manager of the bill or joint resolution. An affirmative vote of two-thirds
			 of the Members of the Senate, duly chosen and sworn, shall be required to
			 sustain an appeal of the ruling of the Chair on a point of order raised under
			 this section.</text>
