		  Research Service publications.</official-title>

		<section id="id0DB0F6FAAEEA4DBAAF12F00366C51DB3" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Public availability of
			 information</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The
			 Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate shall make information available to the public
			 in accordance with the provisions of this resolution.</text>
		</section><section id="ID590E9C65F14A414CB6F8DB6B923EB2A9"><enum>2.</enum><header>Availability of
			 certain Congressional Research Service information</header>
			<subsection id="ID22D3C4C55F2447F2B994002671AAF13D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Availability of
			 information</header>
				<paragraph id="ID17844872F8DA4BFFBBB9587022645800"><enum>(1)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>The Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate, in consultation with
			 the Director of the Congressional Research Service, shall make available
			 through a centralized electronic system, for purposes of access and retrieval
			 by the public under section 3 of this resolution—</text>
					<subparagraph id="id6EA7A99EF6C648C79E22A5E505622006"><enum>(A)</enum><text>all information
			 described in paragraph (2) that is available through the Congressional Research
			 Service website; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID1c1228a68343466c8f1a2fe69e065895"><enum>(B)</enum><text>an index of all
			 information described in paragraph (2) that is available through the
			 Congressional Research Service website.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="ID909CCCDDA8654643AFEEEC1E00F21C83"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Information to
			 be made available</header><text>The information to be made available under
			 paragraph (1) is the following:</text>
					<subparagraph id="ID51BD3B5B37F845C78B636CD67DA96907"><enum>(A)</enum><text>Congressional
			 Research Service Issue Briefs.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID096CAE70F9664D188E8F33E893A86320"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Congressional
			 Research Service Reports that are available to Members of Congress through the
			 Congressional Research Service website.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID61EF0075556046DCB65DF56500D80090"><enum>(C)</enum><text>Congressional
			 Research Service Authorization of Appropriations Products and Appropriations
			 Products.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="ID98B75FBAF7BD48D682EEAF20CB05424F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Limitations</header>
				<paragraph id="ID54EBFDAA594A41AFA6EC3C6DE82C35C0"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Confidential
			 information</header><text>Subsection (a) does not apply to—</text>
					<subparagraph id="ID9872C1360FEF40FA94FC509409FCCC00"><enum>(A)</enum><text>any information
			 that is confidential, as determined by—</text>
						<clause id="ID3AE8BE31848D4BE5BA58E397D18FE900"><enum>(i)</enum><text>the
			 Director of the Congressional Research Service; or</text>
						</clause><clause id="ID30CF1EA72F3544BEAD04E03835057BB8"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>the head of a
			 Federal department or agency that provided the information to the Congressional
			 Research Service; or</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID26375A865A04435AA5DFD985B280776E"><enum>(B)</enum><text>any documents
			 that are the product of an individual, office, or committee research request
			 (other than a document described in subsection (a)(2)).</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="ID46D38B1D09284F6894E8C2F6C1E13F70"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Redaction and
			 revision</header><text>In carrying out this section, the Sergeant-at-Arms of
			 the Senate, in consultation with the Director of the Congressional Research
			 Service, may—</text>
					<subparagraph id="IDE1CC805EAB38454EAEA4BF7E1521EAF4"><enum>(A)</enum><text>remove from the
			 information required to be made available under subsection (a) the name and
			 phone number of, and any other information regarding, an employee of the
			 Congressional Research Service;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID5A40FEA6DD594CFC00912C613BDF12FF"><enum>(B)</enum><text>remove from the
			 information required to be made available under subsection (a) any material for
			 which the Director of the Congressional Research Service, determines that
			 making that material available under subsection (a) may infringe the copyright
			 of a work protected under title 17, United States Code; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDDC769B763CA3458B88FD8E94A07B74E9"><enum>(C)</enum><text>make any changes
			 in the information required to be made available under subsection (a) that the
			 Director of the Congressional Research Service, determines necessary to ensure
			 that the information is accurate and current.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="IDA2E2892EC299434A86541CB239A0372F"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Manner</header><text>The
			 Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate, in consultation with the Director of the
			 Congressional Research Service, shall make the information required under this
			 section available in a manner that is practical and reasonable.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="ID5B16D3A77B974EDEAC883FE888FFDFF2"><enum>3.</enum><header>Method of
			 access</header>
			<subsection id="ID2E3BB8E6E56945C8AA44435CA7C0988D"><enum>(a)</enum><header>CRS
			 information</header><text>Public access to Congressional Research Service
			 information made available under section 2 shall be provided through the
			 websites maintained by Members and Committees of the Senate. The
			 Sergeant-at-Arms shall ensure that the websites maintained by Members and
			 Committees of the Senate provide the same capability to find information made
			 available under section 2 as the Congressional Research Service website.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="ID47C7E7A2A0154403B900EB160921D331"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Editorial
			 responsibility for CRS reports online</header><text>The Sergeant-at-Arms of the
			 Senate is responsible for maintaining and updating the information made
			 available on the Internet under section 2.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="IDE8A8D1BBCC6341FEB600F8E63C111BC6"><enum>4.</enum><header>Implementation</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Sergeant-at-Arms of the Senate shall
			 establish the database described in section 2(a) within 6 months after the date
			 of adoption of this resolution.</text>
