		  minimum distance of travel necessary for reimbursement of covered beneficiaries
		  of the military health care system for travel for specialty health care.

		<section id="id699470BDBCB942C7AFFE496F2BBE4369" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Care Affordability for Military
			 Families Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id385FB1B04724412EAFCAAAF45CE8731F" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reduction of minimum
			 distance of travel for reimbursement of covered beneficiaries of the military
			 health care system for travel for specialty health care</header>
			<subsection id="id680FB9242D3446B2B2D803D0FBFCAD9E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Reduction</header><text>Section
			 1074i(a) of title 10, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>100
			 miles</quote> and inserting <quote>50 miles</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="id08A86777B4A546E2AB0C5E0200CF248D"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendment made by subsection (a) shall take effect on
			 the date that is 90 days after the date of the enactment of this Act, and shall
			 apply with respect to referrals for specialty health care made on or after such
			 effective date.</text>
