		<official-title>To amend the Electronic Fund Transfer Act to treat
		  municipalities and school districts as consumers for certain purposes under
		  that Act.</official-title>

		<section id="idC1AA002A39854866B6BFF0E5ED629784" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Treatment of certain local
			 government entities as consumers for purposes of the Electronic Fund Transfer
			 Act</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 903 of the
			 Electronic Fund Transfer Act (15 U.S.C. 1693a) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="id4A70F02BB239431FAF34D00A6ECD162B"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph
			 (2)—</text>
				<subparagraph id="idD3403B3B68FD4C409E210AAE412700C0"><enum>(A)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>means a demand</quote> and inserting the following: “means—</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id7595CFF907734BE597929F7B7233EDB5" style="OLC">
						<subparagraph id="idA162CEA369254FDEBBA82F843BA01210"><enum>(A)</enum><text>a
				demand</text>
						</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="id485001D0AE714214A5A5DB2E002A5188"><enum>(B)</enum><text>by striking the
			 semicolon at the end and inserting the following: “; and</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id2C97008B10AF4FEEB976B55AEB9C5FCB" style="OLC">
						<subparagraph id="id345D111E716144489249D9FBC2BF4D0B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>for purposes of
				section 909, an account of a municipality or a school district, as those terms
				are defined by rule of the Board, used for the purpose of carrying out the
				official duties of that municipality or school
				district;</text>
						</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="id4B23A45F4EEF4F6E92320B694812D5E5"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in paragraph (5),
			 by inserting before the semicolon at the end the following: <quote>, and
			 includes, solely for purposes of section 909, a municipality or school
			 district, as those terms are defined by rule of the Board</quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="id47ED575089BA41DB95304D6C83DC36C3"><enum>2.</enum><header>Rulemaking
			 required</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Board of
			 Governors of the Federal Reserve System shall issue final rules, not later than
			 180 days after the date of enactment of this Act—</text>
			<paragraph id="id6AF955B098CF48FFBFAB70CA11AFB590"><enum>(1)</enum><text>to define the
			 terms <term>municipality</term> and <term>school district</term> for purposes
			 of section 903 of the Electronic Fund Transfer Act, as amended by this Act;
			 and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id4A681DB8C78F418A8F238D199D4A3606"><enum>(2)</enum><text>to otherwise
			 carry out the amendments made by this Act.</text>
