		<legis-type>A BILL</legis-type>
		<official-title>To amend title 5, United States Code, to extend
		  eligibility for coverage under the Federal Employees Health Benefits Program
		  with respect to certain adult dependents of Federal employees and annuitants,
		  in conformance with amendments made by the Patient Protection and Affordable
		  Care Act.</official-title>

		<section id="H765FDA3D3E0841E2B280783D5660A371" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>FEHBP Dependent Coverage Extension
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H19F5D484138E4D799F6C9A0C34D7481F" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension of dependent
			 coverage under FEHBP</header>
			<subsection id="H7709FCEF7B1E4EE1887F53CD515E74E2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Provisions
			 relating to age</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Chapter 89 of
			 title 5, United States Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H90EBE77F1B734105AF48BEA022712378"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in section
			 8901(5)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="HC063393F4DD749A58E103538752F22A8"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in the matter
			 before subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>22 years of age</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>26 years of age</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HADFF92123210402480FE73CCE56F7535"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in the matter
			 after subparagraph (B), by striking <quote>age 22</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>age 26</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H682C41C3345048E88075602772D8F90C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in section
			 8905(c)(2)(B)—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H5113D10579444DC6A26209BB7C927E3F"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in clause (i), by
			 striking <quote>22 years of age</quote> and inserting <quote>26 years of
			 age</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE7692EBFBBAE47CA946C174A39518CA9"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in clause (ii), by
			 striking <quote>age 22</quote> and inserting <quote>age 26</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H24AE26C937F44C8083E2C2EB64716BD1"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Provisions
			 relating to marital status</header><text>Chapter 89 of title 5, United States
			 Code, is further amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H56EEDDAABCD64E5695C359FD2B8E280C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in section 8901(5)
			 and subsections (b)(2)(A), (c)(2)(B), (e)(1)(B), and (e)(2)(A) of section
			 8905a, by striking <quote>an unmarried dependent</quote> each place it appears
			 and inserting <quote>a dependent</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H68313F98235A418EBF43FDABC6C31EC6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in section
			 8905(c)(2)(B), by striking <quote>unmarried dependent</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>dependent</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H1FFE248A2CF149D981C5A4AF0BA5BB3D"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by
			 this section shall become effective as if included in the enactment of section
			 1001 of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111–148),
			 except that the Director of the Office of Personnel Management may implement
			 such amendments for such periods before the effective date otherwise provided
			 in section 1004(a) of such Act as the Director may specify.</text>
