		<official-title>To amend the Federal Credit Union Act to advance the
		  ability of credit unions to promote small business growth and economic
		  development opportunities, and for other purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="HDCDF440A63804E9F881D37946BD150A0" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Small Business Lending Enhancement Act
			 of 2009</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HE703B3579287452195D4039F118D79B9"><enum>2.</enum><header>Limits on member
			 business loans</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 107A(a)
			 of the Federal Credit Union Act (12 U.S.C. 1757a(a)) is amended by striking
			 <quote>than the lesser of—</quote> and all that follows and inserting
			 <quote>than 25 percent of the total assets of the credit union.</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HFC5E295F399341BCADBC9334BF39EE56"><enum>3.</enum><header>Definition of
			 member business loan</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section
			 107A(c)(1)(B)(iii) of the Federal Credit Union Act (12 U.S.C.
			 1757a(c)(1)(B)(iii)) is amended by striking <quote>$50,000</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>an amount, not to exceed $250,000, that the Board shall
			 prescribe by regulation</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="id6AB68B62960B427C8FC3A868FB13344F"><enum>4.</enum><header>Reports to
			 Congress on member business lending</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The National Credit Union Administration
			 Board shall submit semiannual reports to Congress on the status of member
			 business lending by insured credit unions during the reporting period,
			 including—</text>
			<paragraph id="idF06006E50788465B9D94C0322777DE50"><enum>(1)</enum><text>trends in such
			 lending;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="idB5AF36104D684B2B89F609FEB31E6959"><enum>(2)</enum><text>types and amounts
			 of member business loans;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="id93B735EF63E6495DB81A24EAA6966887"><enum>(3)</enum><text>recommendations
			 for legislative action, if any, with respect to such lending; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idC39F15AE6EBC4C17BDDF68B709EE3203"><enum>(4)</enum><text>any other
			 information that the Board considers relevant with respect to such
			 lending.</text>
