		  special resource study to determine the suitability and feasibility of adding
		  the Heart Mountain Relocation Center, in the State of Wyoming, as a unit of the

		<section id="H029AEC310F794091AB20045E402F63D8" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Heart Mountain Relocation Center Study
			 Act of 2009</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HD636D95FE10C48C7BB2527D9AB2B82F1" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Special resource
			 study</header>
			<subsection id="H2BBE9984E0AC46E3BB1FAD4634017467"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Study</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the Interior shall conduct
			 a special resource study of the Heart Mountain Relocation Center, in Park
			 County, Wyoming.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HA8EAAD317D4A46FCAC41B920409D5181"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Contents</header><text>In
			 conducting the study under subsection (a), the Secretary shall—</text>
				<paragraph id="H13788CFC9D594ADAB71FC4A95FE94795"><enum>(1)</enum><text>evaluate the
			 national significance of the Heart Mountain Relocation Center and surrounding
			 area;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H0372D594362049B29F0389EA4AB36DE4"><enum>(2)</enum><text>determine the
			 suitability and feasibility of designating the Heart Mountain Relocation Center
			 as a unit of the National Park System;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H11A113EDA01E45B2AB9D3AC2D806B078"><enum>(3)</enum><text>consider other
			 alternatives for preservation, protection, and interpretation of the site by
			 Federal, State, or local governmental entities, or private and nonprofit
			 organizations;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HB48B0FDFEA5E4FF69E146DCDF9E0E6C5"><enum>(4)</enum><text>identify cost
			 estimates for any Federal acquisition, development, interpretation, operation,
			 and maintenance associated with the alternatives;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H58EF25E28692415ABE6039731ECFA44A"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">identify any potential impacts of
			 designation of the site as a unit of the National Park System on private
			 landowners; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H808BD243A8084D5FB372D1584A753D3D"><enum>(6)</enum><text>consult with
			 interested Federal, State, or local governmental entities, federally recognized
			 Indian tribes, private and nonprofit organizations, owners of private property
			 that may be affected by any such designation, or any other interested
			 individuals.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HA5AA795C57F14EA5830232A2AA163478"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Applicable
			 law</header><text>The study required under subsection (a) shall be conducted in
			 accordance with section 8 of Public Law 91–383 (16 U.S.C. 1a–5).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H8C271E97BBFA40CAB7B9A634DF58DD88"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not
			 later than 3 years after the date on which funds are first made available for
			 the study under subsection (a), the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on
			 Natural Resources of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy
			 and Natural Resources of the Senate a report containing the results of the
			 study and any conclusions and recommendations of the Secretary.</text>
