		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to provide for the
		  eligibility of parents of certain deceased veterans for interment in national
		  cemeteries.</official-title>

		<section id="H6DF8E73558BA4E2CAC6630410098D01B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Interment in national
			 cemeteries of parents of certain deceased veterans</header>
			<subsection id="H11EFB6FC1A7348E5AFF5B7602EA26EE2"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Interment of
			 parents of certain deceased veterans</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 2402 of title 38, United States
			 Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new paragraph:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H69D839CDC94B44DF8093C4025631FB6E" style="USC">
					<paragraph id="HFA208A78595F4F6F8859B4C2FCB4CD7"><enum>(9)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The parent of a person listed in any of
				paragraphs (1) through (4) or paragraph (7) who, at the time of the parent’s
				death, does not have a spouse, surviving spouse, or child who has been
				interred, or who, if deceased, would be eligible to be interred, in a national
				cemetery pursuant to paragraph (5), but only if—</text>
						<subparagraph id="id7EB2AB65884842259DE6245852EA1463"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the person so listed dies before the
				parent; and</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="idBB2903B9A7704E378BAFE4AED0DF5C61"><enum>(B)</enum><clause commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="idD016F9E1B03646F79DC20448048DC98A"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the plot in which the person so listed is
				interred contains sufficient space for the interment of the parent; and</text>
							</clause><clause id="idAD8900DCFFE84A8E8D6FF4EFABEB801E" indent="up1"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the parent is interred in that
				plot.</text>
							</clause></subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H66827A71E6B94D69A9C7355862422F84"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>Paragraph (9) of section 2402 of title 38, United States
			 Code, shall apply with respect to the death of an eligible parent on or after
			 the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
