			 <quote><short-title>Health Professions and Primary Care
			 Reinvestment Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDe7b0760f78454032a41543c21c0219d0" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Education and training for delivery system
			 reform</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID649aca373c664053a1e65cbdc76f39ed"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Medical home training</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 747(a) of the Public Health Service
			 Act (42 U.S.C. 293k(a)) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idD45095FA0C904571AE9A75581B7D3CAC"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (5), by striking
			 <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9040D5F6194142DA8F50432E9400736E"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (6), by striking the period
			 and inserting <quote>; and</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idCA3D58CD3D464E6DA9D9452782E39917"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by inserting after paragraph (6) the
			 following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idDBEFC34CD9134971A37729413209C82B" style="OLC">
						<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDba2cc85d8d5d4986984e3983deb76168"><enum>(7)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">to plan, develop, and operate a
				demonstration program that provides training in new competencies, as
				recommended by the Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and
				Dentistry, which may include—</text>
							<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDff295927fbc344489311855200a191ba"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">providing training to primary care
				providers relevant to providing care through patient-centered medical homes (as
				defined by the Secretary for purposes of this paragraph, taking into account
				the criteria of the National Committee for Quality Assurance and other
				certifying entities);</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID08e515fe89f349f3aef2e6379ab3c563"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">developing tools and curricula relevant to
				patient-centered medical homes; and</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID4878690a729047f3832c57e4c633786e"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">providing continuing education relevant to
				patient-centered medical
				homes.</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDa60d07bd7daa442eacf4dda967975562"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Priorities of delivery system
			 reform</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 747 of the
			 Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 293k) is amended by striking subsection
			 (c) and inserting the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id5084F56DFF1C4AC48D1AA389B7040A7D" style="OLC">
					<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID6a7b100f07234b18b5679ade70057b52"><enum>(c)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Priorities in making awards</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In awarding grants or contracts under this
				section, the Secretary shall give priority to qualified applicants that—</text>
						<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID52706db3968b416f9ccdbc23959b7387"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">have a record of training the greatest
				percentage of providers, or that have demonstrated significant improvements in
				the percentage of providers trained, who enter and remain in primary care
				practice;</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDf205f3c6a0244edaad6962d8557c3eff"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">have a record of training individuals who
				are from underrepresented minority groups or from a rural or disadvantaged
				background;</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID556983d9b6084db787baf8d81f439e9a"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">provide training in the care of vulnerable
				populations such as children, older adults, homeless individuals, victims of
				abuse or trauma, individuals with mental health or substance-related disorders,
				individuals with HIV/AIDS, and individuals with disabilities;</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID483bf5fa497248f8a6efd1f6f268d0be"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">establish formal relationships and submit
				joint applications with federally qualified health centers, rural health
				clinics, area health education centers, or clinics located in underserved areas
				or that serve underserved populations;</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID83ea51a53fa2454a9280b048b7e87fdb"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">provide training in interdisciplinary,
				integrated care through collaboration among health professionals, including
				physician assistants, nurse practitioners, pharmacists, dentists,
				geriatricians, and mental and behavioral health professionals;</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID031cbabcca6b488180ea4097f803e4da"><enum>(6)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">provide training in enhanced communication
				with patients, evidence-based practice, chronic disease management, preventive
				care, health information technology, or other competencies as recommended by
				the Advisory Committee on Training in Primary Care Medicine and Dentistry;
				or</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDc93d8e40873f4b46bc0aa1626c5996e9"><enum>(7)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">provide training in cultural competency and
				health
				literacy.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idAD0716E8EF37443A84631B8C3D5D5CAC"><enum>(c)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Other amendments</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 747 of the Public Health Service
			 Act (42 U.S.C. 293k) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id2375999DF449487E9DB3A9B190B978AF"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (d)—</text>
					<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idB39319CDFEF64518952C8A6D7D352CC5"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>subsection (a) may not
			 exceed</quote> and inserting <quote>this section shall be</quote>; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id5467949320714FFC8013C5C0B458129D"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking the second sentence; and</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idAF5DAFBE90F148DD9297816042FD90AB"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking subsection (e) and inserting
			 the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idDA2B9CDE8EB64013BE289E8BFA8A89F6" style="OLC">
						<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id7C3361D43BFD4EDCBE522E3EFFEE297D"><enum>(e)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Authorization of
				appropriations</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes
				of carrying out this section, there are authorized to be appropriated
				$125,000,000 for each of fiscal years 2010 through 2014. Fifteen percent of the
				amount appropriated in each such fiscal year shall be allocated to the
				physician assistant training programs described in subsection (a)(5), which
				prepare students for practice in primary
				care.</text>
						</subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection></section><section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDc8c7bcad872341b0939090c839ad6543" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>3.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Health workforce information and
			 analysis</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id1D4F368952CB4A838DAFEB590C7C5EDF"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 761 of the Public Health Service
			 Act (42 U.S.C. 294m) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idB137092DEB134033B35163F62C86B92E"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by redesignating subsection (c) as
			 subsection (e);</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id96A0A792B50F4BA7A4F091D8658E9C42"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking subsection (b) and inserting
			 the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9FF13E60CBA14705B0035B0F8BC2D1AE" style="OLC">
						<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idDCA8C034A72A49DF9F37279AFA2FFC97"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">National Center for Health Workforce
				Analysis</header>
							<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id004E339D8C0A4347A8CC7F44E0E6A115"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Establishment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall establish the National
				Center for Health Workforce Analysis (referred to in this section as the
				“National Center”) within the Department of Health and Human Services.</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id0D122CA0039D41B5A32BBE889ADB2F92"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Purposes</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The purposes of the National Center are
				to—</text>
								<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id1CEEDDC9B9FD418194B823C786936E5B"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">carry out the activities under section
				792(a); and</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id89CFB70C329E441F86E2E62E9731C741"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">collect, analyze, and report data related
				to health workforce issues in coordination with the State and Regional Centers
				for Health Workforce Analysis described in subsection (c) (referred to in this
				section as the “State and Regional Centers”).</text>
								</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id6461F5472F5549FEB0FD789996D3ED40"><enum>(3)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Functions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The National Center shall—</text>
								<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idEB953364C258487B8188F1DA307A3112"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">annually evaluate the effectiveness of
				programs under this title, based on data reported by recipients of contracts or
				grants under this title, data collected from the State and Regional Centers
				described in subsection (c), and analyses conducted under paragraph (4);</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id901D367C03EA4BB1815814C77F38421F"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">develop and publish benchmarks for
				performance for programs under this title;</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id2F7743DF29694E5ABE682C9B1F575CDE"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">regularly produce and report to the
				relevant committees of Congress estimates of the supply, demand, and
				distribution of health professionals, such as physicians, dentists, nurses,
				physician assistants, pharmacists, mental and behavioral health professionals,
				public health workers, and long-term care workers, as appropriate;</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idEAF2348E647D4BA49DDD35705FC7384C"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">establish, maintain, and make publicly
				available through the Internet a national health workforce database to collect
				data from—</text>
									<clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idB883F4C76A384F8495C807222797E2C9"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">longitudinal tracking systems (as defined
				in section 761(d)(2)) on performance measures (as developed under sections
				748(d)(3), 756(d)(3), and 762(a)(3)); and</text>
									</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id8D98AB1921BA4E4B8650BDE135823538"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the State and Regional Centers described in
				subsection (c);</text>
									</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id140C5CEB21474115A0744C4628A76B59"><enum>(E)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">establish and maintain a registry of each
				grant awarded under this title, including data on the project director, the
				institution, the type and year of the award, and the residency, fellowship, or
				internship program, as appropriate; and</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id4636853449194B06A5A88E9C82791B6C"><enum>(F)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">biennially submit to the relevant
				committees of Congress a report on the activities of the National Center during
				the previous 2-year period.</text>
								</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id8C3BC38355514D48939533EABA62C750"><enum>(4)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Collaboration and data sharing</header>
								<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idCC406C69D29246B5B4936A7CD1AC7C38"><enum>(A)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The National Center shall collaborate with
				Federal agencies, health professions education organizations, health
				professions organizations, and professional medical societies for the purpose
				of linking data regarding grants awarded under this title with 1 or more of the
				following:</text>
									<clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id7BDCDEBAB92E4FCDB896551EA27B934A"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Data maintained by the Centers for Medicare
				&amp; Medicaid Services.</text>
									</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id26C43DA4A7114B9086D692B92F5AB353"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Data on participation in the National
				Health Service Corps.</text>
									</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id19B4C18FF7E349D1A6A6EFDC01299DDD"><enum>(iii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Data sets maintained by health professions
				education organizations, health professions organizations, or professional
				medical societies.</text>
									</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id785DE8D20218465F8A7734E999F48F19"><enum>(iv)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Other data sets, as the Secretary
				determines appropriate.</text>
									</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id691293C08C424770B65C6E7D058B3054"><enum>(B)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Contracts for health workforce
				analysis</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For the purpose of
				carrying out the activities described in subparagraph (A), the National Center
				may enter into contracts with health professions education organizations,
				health professions organizations, or professional medical societies.</text>
								</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id4F5D38736C4E4AF7969B91444CC961C8"><enum>(c)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">State and Regional Centers for Health
				Workforce Analysis</header>
							<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id8818DF92036242A48B1C1C908305B96C"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall award grants to, or
				enter into contracts with, eligible entities for purposes of—</text>
								<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idBBF2D0356BFC44D8A53D5FC212BCB425"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">collecting, analyzing, and reporting to the
				National Center data regarding programs under this title and data related to
				health workforce issues;</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id2CF821E231ED45E8B6EB5C3F96C770F9"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">conducting, broadly disseminating, and
				making publicly available through the Internet research and reports on State,
				regional, and national health workforce issues, including research on the
				supply, demand, and distribution of health professionals;</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id82DB8E1F970B4CBBB7D3CEE2A6FCE5A9"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">evaluating the effectiveness of programs
				under this title and other policies related to health workforce issues;
				and</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idCED8A6B020944A27AA2603CE75DC9155"><enum>(D)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">providing technical assistance to local and
				regional entities on the collection, analysis, and reporting of data related to
				health workforce issues.</text>
								</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id47C52872DADC4676A8DA6E04196DC5FF"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Eligible entities</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">To be eligible for a grant or contract
				under this subsection, an entity shall—</text>
								<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id30CFD8151872407CA0EA6009296E2342"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">be a State, a State workforce commission, a
				public health or health professions school, an academic health center, or an
				appropriate public or private nonprofit entity or a partnership of such
				entities; and</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id28502DCD1550462294E53BB1AF94430F"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">submit to the Secretary an application at
				such time, in such manner, and containing such information as the Secretary may
				require.</text>
								</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id34477894435D440A81EB406CCB782194"><enum>(d)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Increase in Grants for Longitudinal
				Tracking Systems</header>
							<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID5c9e488ea8c14c2e944e853848ac4ba5"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary shall increase the amount of
				a grant or contract awarded to an eligible entity under this title for the
				establishment and maintenance of a longitudinal tracking
				system.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id7E074A83B7FD478F864173491A8DE03E" style="OLC">
						<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDd05453a9e4f840db816cf90170088755"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Definition</header>
							<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDfede3e940dda40d6983811b520588be9"><enum>(A)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">For purposes of paragraph (1), the term
				<term>longitudinal tracking system</term> means a system that tracks students,
				residents, fellows, interns, or faculty who have received education, training,
				or financial assistance from programs under this title over a period of not
				less than 5 years, as specified by the Secretary.</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID1e34293168644007857d88e4a19f196d"><enum>(B)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Capability</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A longitudinal tracking system shall be
				capable of—</text>
								<clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDc35f6a53716f4612aa2b3f77cffc8f41"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">tracking participation in the National
				Health Service Corps, practice in federally qualified health centers, practice
				in health professional shortage areas and medically underserved areas, and
				practice in primary care; and</text>
								</clause><clause commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID9a107eee75fc4fb289a6646631638083"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">collecting and reporting data on
				performance measures developed under sections 748(d)(3), 756(d)(3), and
				762(a)(3).</text>
								</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDdf8f91828b0246f597bf670f785da3a0"><enum>(C)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Guidelines</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A longitudinal tracking system shall comply
				with guidelines issued under sections 748(d)(4), 756(d)(4), and
				762(a)(4).</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID8ad4595447cb4a548869481745e4002d"><enum>(3)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Eligible entities</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">To be eligible to obtain an increase under
				this section, an entity shall be a recipient of a grant or contract under this
				title and have not previously received an increase under this
				section.</text>
						</paragraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idBDCF1AC049D04049981D20A9B1A72A77"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subsection (e), as so
			 redesignated—</text>
					<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id0D631273E81C4F159A2A5B13A038FE24"><enum>(A)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking paragraph (1) and inserting the
			 following:</text>

							<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id670FFF76BA8A43EA843545ECCF520981"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header>
								<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idDEF39E73ED0147AC9E427EB85A931BA7"><enum>(A)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">National Center for Health Workforce
				Analysis</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">To carry out
				subsection (b), there are authorized to be appropriated $1,000,000 for each of
				fiscal years 2010 through 2014, and such sums as may be necessary for each
				subsequent fiscal year.</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idF07840A12AAE42FFBFEF49BDADAA06FB"><enum>(B)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">State and Regional Centers</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">To carry out subsection (c), there are
				authorized to be appropriated $4,500,000 for each of fiscal years 2010 through
				2014, and such sums as may be necessary for each subsequent fiscal year.</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idE75AD906C4274C8EA97AC2899CAE6ADE"><enum>(C)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Grants for longitudinal tracking
				systems</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">To carry out
				subsection (d), there are authorized to be appropriated such sums as may be
				necessary for fiscal years 2010 through 2014.</text>
								</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idD66E83497A2A4B389F0C61F408586854"><enum>(D)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Carryover funds</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An entity that receives an award under this
				section may carry over funds from 1 fiscal year to another without obtaining
				approval from the Secretary. In no case may any funds be carried over pursuant
				to the preceding sentence for more than 3
				years.</text>
								</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id3E6901D6D11F4FC684D691BFCD6A32D6"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (2), by striking
			 <quote>subsection (a)</quote> and inserting <quote>paragraph
			 (1)</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id8DDCE22EEB35411F9EDF9539CBDDCD9B"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Transfer of functions</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 180 days after the date of
			 enactment of this Act, all of the functions, authorities, and resources of the
			 National Center for Health Workforce Analysis of the Health Resources and
			 Services Administration, as in effect on the date before the date of enactment
			 of this Act, shall be transferred to the National Center for Health Workforce
			 Analysis established under section 761 of the Public Health Service Act, as
			 amended by subsection (a).</text>
			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDfd1929ff64f6430a962dbb79a38496be"><enum>(c)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Preference for use of Longitudinal Tracking
			 Systems</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 791(a)(1) of
			 the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 295j(a)(1)) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id5C67C686BC424635B33421430D5FAFB4"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subparagraph (A), by striking
			 <quote>or</quote> at the end;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idAB509B6E989B478D876390126B3F94FF"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in subparagraph (B), by striking the period
			 and inserting <quote>; or</quote>; and</text>

			 Care Medicine and Dentistry</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 748(d) of the Public Health Service
