		<official-title>To amend the Child Care and Development Block Grant Act
		  of 1990 to require child care providers to provide to parents information
		  regarding whether such providers carry liability insurance.</official-title>

		<section id="IDC94CA216E7A0437CB6F239A1A2AB1E59" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Anthony DeJuan Boatwright
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="ID95137DC68DCF4110AA45921B23A0A6ED"><enum>2.</enum><header>Amendments</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 658E(c)(2) of the
			 <act-name parsable-cite="CCDBGA90">Child Care and Development Block Grant Act
			 of 1990</act-name> (42 U.S.C. 9858c(c)(2)) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="ID3831B949C3EF4D71AB7760B69F363B30"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (E)(i), by adding at the end the following: <quote>The State plan shall also
			 provide assurances that the State includes as part of its regulatory process
			 for issuance and renewal of licenses to providers of child care services, a
			 recommendation to each such provider that the provider carry liability
			 insurance covering the operation of its child care business.</quote>;
			 and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="IDF52E387F633B4361A3A62B70B5F6089B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in subparagraph
			 (F)—</text>
				<subparagraph id="IDF357FA04B36C4666ADE1D9F2E344040B"><enum>(A)</enum><text>in clause (ii),
			 by striking <quote>and</quote> at the end;</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDE30AA35A562D4793A9D42D7C1BA08EEE"><enum>(B)</enum><text>in clause (iii),
			 by striking the period at the end and inserting a semicolon;</text>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="IDC80FFD7F890B4F9FA7FB04A1580F5205"><enum>(C)</enum><text>by inserting
			 after clause (iii) the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="ID959FB83F034B4D6DB8F0AF40813E8F42" style="OLC">
						<clause id="ID5B59161907B74B519DBA553A6AC799B0"><enum>(iv)</enum><text>a requirement
				that each such licensed child care provider—</text>
							<subclause id="IDBE0281C0403A411C8E6818780FDD5568"><enum>(I)</enum><text>post publicly and
				conspicuously in the service area of its premises a notice specifying whether
				or not such provider carries liability insurance covering the operation of its
				child care business;</text>
							</subclause><subclause id="ID901445CAC4B1456280A93C164E92B99B"><enum>(II)</enum><text>provide to
				parents of children to whom the provider provides child care services a written
				notice stating only whether or not such provider carries liability insurance
				covering the operation of its child care business, including the amount of any
				such coverage;</text>
							</subclause><subclause id="ID1925D5D16EF746FD81E94199CECB263B"><enum>(III)</enum><text>obtain the
				signature of at least 1 parent of each such child on such written notice
				(without any addition, attachment, or enclosure) acknowledging that such parent
				has received such notice; and</text>
							</subclause><subclause id="IDAA1958BB3E694DF2967E180259027ED3"><enum>(IV)</enum><text>maintain such
				notice (or a copy of such notice) as signed by such parent (or a copy of the
				signed notice) in such provider's records during the period in which the child
				receives such services.</text>
							</subclause></clause><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</subparagraph><subparagraph id="ID1B1A8ED6F8104042A4C07CFF1DFD09E2"><enum>(D)</enum><text>in the last
			 sentence, by striking <quote>Nothing in this subparagraph</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>Nothing in clause (i), (ii), or (iii)</quote>.</text>
				</subparagraph></paragraph></section><section id="ID8649F7A4CFCD44FFAF1601D4D863C18D"><enum>3.</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act and the
			 amendments made by this Act shall take effect on October 1 of the first fiscal
			 year that begins more than 1 year after the date of enactment of this
			 Act.</text>
