		<official-title display="yes">To amend the Oil Pollution Act of 1990 to
		  modify the applicability of certain requirements to double hulled tankers
		  transporting oil in bulk in Prince William Sound, Alaska.</official-title>

		<section commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id125F50CB402A4F3287ACF0485067A1CE" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Dual escort vessels for double hulled
			 tankers in Prince William Sound, Alaska</header>
			<subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id3D1DE381DCFE413BA08AC2FF07844A64"><enum>(a)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 4116(c) of the Oil Pollution Act of
			 1990 (46 U.S.C. 3703 note; Public Law 101–380) is amended—</text>
				<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id75A2E54744B843D2AEC6E4C7724D1057"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by striking <quote>Not later than 6
			 months</quote> and inserting the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id9B9B9283EE5C4FC7A2D17B45D60171B9" style="OLC">
						<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idEC34F66A5B7A409F8E61571628A40062"><enum>(1)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not later than 180
				days</text>
						</paragraph><after-quoted-block>;
				and</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph><paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idE11FB10BF7884FE8B9AA1A44E1BAA3A8"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">by adding at the end the following:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="idEC7A1310C3C848B1A166C370BAB8667E" style="OLC">
						<paragraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id27AC62213C0C40CD9A016DD104A9A513"><enum>(2)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Prince William Sound, Alaska</header>
							<subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id7B5957B6442B4A48B429C0FC604FFCA8"><enum>(A)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The requirement in paragraph (1) relating
				to single hulled tankers in Prince William Sound, Alaska, described in that
				paragraph being escorted by at least 2 towing vessels or other vessels
				considered to be appropriate by the Secretary (including regulations
				promulgated in accordance with section 3703(a)(3) of title 46, United States
				Code, as set forth in part 168 of title 33, Code of Federal Regulations (as in
				effect on March 1, 2009) implementing this subsection with respect to those
				tankers) shall apply to double hulled tankers over 5,000 gross tons
				transporting oil in bulk in Prince William Sound, Alaska.</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="id93B4202AF8FB436C9DB5CBE08E9A4B9A"><enum>(B)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Implementation of
				requirements</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of
				the Federal agency with jurisdiction over the Coast Guard shall carry out
				subparagraph (A) by order without notice and hearing pursuant to section 553 of
				title 5 of the United States
				Code.</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDc12840cea2c7487fa0a3ae385078c62d"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by
			 subsection (a) take effect on the date that is 90 days after the date of
			 enactment of this Act.</text>
