		<official-title display="yes">Requesting that the President and directing
		  that the Secretary of Defense transmit to the House of Representatives all
		  information in their possession relating to specific communications regarding
		  detainees and foreign persons suspected of terrorism.</official-title>

			 requests the President, and directs the Secretary of Defense, to transmit to
			 the House of Representatives, not later than 14 days after the date of the
			 adoption of this resolution, copies of any portions of all documents, records,
			 and communications in the possession of the Secretary of Defense, or any
			 officer or employee of the Department of Defense, that were created on or after
			 January 1, 2005, and that refer or relate to how notifying foreign persons
			 captured in Afghanistan who are suspected of terrorism and detainees in the
			 custody of the Department of Defense in Afghanistan of rights under Miranda v.
			 Arizona, 384 U.S. 436 (1966) may affect—</text>
			<paragraph id="H5D642EE7F34C4606B1D3E7F2292E46EB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the rules of
			 engagement of the Armed Forces deployed in support of Operation Enduring
			 Freedom;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H6CD982BBF5D14797AC2164715620F692"><enum>(2)</enum><text>post-capture
			 interrogations and intelligence-gathering activities conducted as part of
			 Operation Enduring Freedom;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HD5835F99330D416281A46A5222B4E4FC"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the overall
			 counterinsurgency strategy and objectives of the United States for Operation
			 Enduring Freedom;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HCED61E4CCB3D4EDD8870556715059292"><enum>(4)</enum><text>United States
			 military operations and objectives in Afghanistan; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H6B81EEF06C3749388CC1AAF3AA930F01"><enum>(5)</enum><text>potential risks to
			 members of the Armed Forces operating in Afghanistan.</text>

			 the date of the adoption of this Resolution or December 31, 2009, a report on
			 how the reading of rights under <italic>Miranda</italic> v.
			 <italic>Arizona</italic> (384 U.S. 436 (1966)) to individuals detained by the
			 United States in Afghanistan may affect—</text>

			 of the Armed Forces deployed in support of Operation Enduring Freedom;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HEDAF050557214EDF95E6F7BB07CB7C4A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>post-capture
			 interrogations and intelligence-gathering activities conducted as part of
			 Operation Enduring Freedom;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HB3725C3A2CE3449D835710687333BDDE"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the overall
			 counterinsurgency strategy and objectives of the United States for Operation
			 Enduring Freedom;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H674D212AC2E247D38759144366D33E13"><enum>(4)</enum><text>United States military
			 operations and objectives in Afghanistan; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H05F7C31EAED841B9ACEF05E6702B0B13"><enum>(5)</enum><text>potential risks to
