Short title

This Act may be cited as the Third Health Insurance Protects America—Can't Repeal IT (HIPA–CRIT) Act.

Repeal of health care reform prohibition on establishment of lifetime limits on health benefits

The provisions of the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act (Public Law 111–148), insofar as such Act under section 2711(a)(1)(A) of the Public Health Service Act (42 U.S.C. 300gg–11(a)(1)(A)) prohibits a group health plan or a health insurance issuer offering group or individual health insurance coverage from establishing lifetime limits on the dollar value of benefits for any participant or beneficiary, are hereby repealed, effective as of the date of the enactment of this Act.
