		<official-title>To authorize the Secretary of the Interior, and in
		  cooperation with the Koshare Indian Museum, to assist in the expansion of the
		  Museum’s storage facility in La Junta, Colorado, to house the collection of
		  Bent’s Old Fort National Historic Site and collections from other National Park
		  Service units.</official-title>

		<section id="HF41A95098E3F41A7BB769A3646A4BDF6" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Bent’s Old Fort Museum Collections
			 Facility Act of 2010</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H56E5948A9E9D488B89EE58B28C03BB19"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
			<paragraph id="H5116A9D3D5B342E1BA5F30170DE78506"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Secretary</header><text>The
			 term <term>Secretary</term> means the Secretary of the Interior.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HE42ACE0B8DE047FCBF4504362C5970E5"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Museum</header><text>The
			 term <term>Museum</term> means the Koshare Indian Museum.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H3884368D008640A78F4FFE07C64A59B8"><enum>(3)</enum><header>NPS</header><text>The
			 term <term>NPS</term> means the National Park Service.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H55E7DF08C8E54E7AB26C3884B114CCC6"><enum>3.</enum><header>Findings</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Congress finds that—</text>
			<paragraph id="HD059C6F9A3934809852971AADC357A9C"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the Museum, a
			 long-established museum on the Otero Junior College campus in La Junta,
			 Colorado, houses a world-class collection of Plains Indian and other Native
			 American material culture;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H2C463343751E4BE986E7535C445CB2CC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the Museum is
			 planning an expansion of its collections’ storage facility;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H1AF4C8BF5F5E4FA09DE8237813A206A7"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the Museum and
			 Otero Junior College have developed architectural plans for the new
			 facility;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HCC8CDB1AEAE344C5BE92A15D9E156293"><enum>(4)</enum><text>the expanded
			 collections storage facility could house the collections of Bent’s Old Fort,
			 Sand Creek Massacre, and possibly collections from other National Park System
			 units; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H3705DAA327F44ED6AD6B7487F05E106B"><enum>(5)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">NPS staff assigned to the storage facility
			 could manage the NPS collections to NPS standards and assist in the curation of
			 the Museum’s collections.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H6CA45A708594441F80AA0E141DB10D33"><enum>4.</enum><header>Agreement</header>
			<subsection id="H38D7EB135CFD4D77B4FBC5794786CABA"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Authorization</header><text>The
			 Secretary may enter into a cooperative agreement with the Museum to—</text>
				<paragraph id="HB3E8A2307EE04706841D0E6EE1D091E8"><enum>(1)</enum><text>assist in the
			 construction and furnishing of an addition to the museum for use as a
			 curatorial center to house the museum collections from Bent’s Old Fort, Sand
			 Creek Massacre, and other units of the National Park System;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HAECBE0FEAE9C4EC4A79975DC774E6C3A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>provide no more
			 than $6,000,000 for the construction and furnishing of the addition to the
			 Museum subject to available appropriations; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H86365B356DF94259AD36623BE5392DB6"><enum>(3)</enum><text>house those
			 portions of the collections of Bent’s Old Fort, Sand Creek Massacre, and
			 Washita Battlefield National Historic Sites, and possibly collections from
			 other units of the National Park System, that the Director of the NPS
			 determines appropriate for the facility.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HF8C9FB76B59F487E8F8D1B610EA334C7"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Funding</header><text>Federal
			 funding provided under subsection (a) shall be matched on a 1:1 Federal to
			 non-Federal basis, and the non-Federal contribution may be in the form of
			 in-kind contributions of goods or services fairly valued.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H0119481AC2264CED933EA7FC2B4EB839"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Other
			 conditions</header><text>The curatorial addition authorized by this Act shall
			 remain part of the Museum and the Museum shall be responsible for maintenance
			 and operational costs associated with the Museum including the curatorial
			 addition.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="H794A6F3DB33440B5B78B6D900F5C24D8"><enum>5.</enum><header>Use of
			 staff</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary may assign
			 NPS staff to—</text>
			<paragraph id="HCD5933BD83AA45FC971E8959D23F71BE"><enum>(1)</enum><text>provide curatorial
			 services for the NPS museum objects housed at the Museum; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H36DBD47D5F9441ACA82BA74BC03C626C"><enum>(2)</enum><text>to assist with the
			 curation of other objects housed at the Museum.</text>
