		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to expand the
		  definition of active duty for purposes of the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance
		  Program of the Department of Veterans Affairs to include certain service in the
		  National Guard.</official-title>

		<section id="H7513E7097A5E48BBAA37B18348FA8493" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Expansion of definition of
			 active duty for purposes of Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Program of the
			 Department of Veterans Affairs to include service in National Guard for certain
			 purposes</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3301(1) of
			 title 38, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new
			 subparagraph:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H833A793A0751430CAC963FED6A784B6C" style="USC">
				<subparagraph id="H1CB4D846982745F4B18C1640DE6B6465"><enum>(C)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In the case of a member of the Army
				National Guard of the United States or Air National Guard of the United States,
				in addition to service described in subparagraph (B), full-time service—</text>
					<clause id="H5288D7CE1C8B4F8182AC5C527590BBB9"><enum>(i)</enum><text>in
				the National Guard of a State for the purpose of organizing, administering,
				recruiting, instructing, or training the National Guard; or</text>
					</clause><clause id="H91D911D018E64B9DB5F4E2D1BACCB811"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>in the National
				Guard under section 502(f) of title 32 when authorized by the President or
				Secretary of Defense for the purpose of responding to a national emergency
				declared by the President and supported by Federal
				funds.</text>
