		<official-title display="yes">To provide for the establishment of a task
		  force that will be responsible for investigating cases referred to the Attorney
		  General under the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995, and for other
		  purposes.</official-title>

		<section id="H6D74B9547ADF457385047FC9036816E4" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Lobbying Disclosure Enhancement
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HAE4B33A0152B4CE8AB27036399933535"><enum>2.</enum><header>Lobbying
			 Disclosure Act Task Force</header>
			<subsection id="H4132524233A64726B0CD82CE3FD78573"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Establishment</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Attorney General shall establish the
			 Lobbying Disclosure Act Enforcement Task Force (in this section referred to as
			 the <quote>Task Force</quote>).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H7BB1F7D545FC48DB91BEB372D260040B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Functions</header><text>The
			 Task Force—</text>
				<paragraph id="HBDA16D8613B6416DB63B45BAD05606DB"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">shall have primary responsibility for
			 investigating and prosecuting each case referred to the Attorney General under
			 section 6(a)(8) of the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/1605">2 U.S.C.
			 1605(a)(8)</external-xref>); and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H192F67D1EA594DFC89692919FCB6B05B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>shall collect and
			 disseminate information with respect to the enforcement of the Lobbying
			 Disclosure Act of 1995 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/1601">2 U.S.C. 1601 et seq.</external-xref>).</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H528AF2058B2F41B18B2FC85ACC39FE52"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Authorization of
			 appropriations</header><text>There are authorized to be appropriated such sums
			 as may be necessary to carry out this section.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="H5E4B0389121E4946A6F55098FE987EF0"><enum>3.</enum><header>Referral of cases
			 to the Attorney General</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 6(a) of the Lobbying Disclosure Act
			 of 1995 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/1605">2 U.S.C.
			 1605(a)</external-xref>) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="H2D0F41DDF175436BB9FDD3E3F71E10B9"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in paragraph (8),
			 by striking <quote>United States Attorney for the District of Columbia</quote>
			 and inserting <quote>Attorney General</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HB2226F3B60914E47A9042CCB82DD3040"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">in paragraph (11), by striking
			 <quote>United States Attorney for the District of Columbia</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>Attorney General</quote>.</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H6D68AC46D35A4E46B3A16137D6F39175"><enum>4.</enum><header>Recommendations
			 for improved enforcement</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The
			 Attorney General may make recommendations to Congress with respect to—</text>
			<paragraph id="H889BFF2BC4B94D4AB7898740EBA740B3"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the enforcement of
			 and compliance with the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HC79886C043844936A8CBCB37D9BD698A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>the need for
			 resources available for the enhanced enforcement of the Lobbying Disclosure Act
			 of 1995</text>
			</paragraph></section><section id="H0369F17116C74EE2BFECD02354B083FD"><enum>5.</enum><header>Information in
			 enforcement reports</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section
			 6(b)(1) of the Lobbying Disclosure Act of 1995 (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/2/1605">2 U.S.C. 1605(b)(1)</external-xref>) is amended by
			 striking <quote>by case</quote> and all that follows through <quote>public
			 record</quote> and inserting <quote>by case and name of the individual
			 lobbyists or lobbying firms involved, any sentences imposed</quote>.</text>
