		  nonimmigrant nurses in health professional shortage areas made by the Nursing
		  Relief for Disadvantaged Areas Act of 1999.</official-title>

		<section id="H166BFC5E32DF4C40AD959EBA6F1FBA5A" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Underserved Area Nursing Relief
			 Restoration Act of 2010</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H006B3CD284644B7D9CB51E004CDC32F8"><enum>2.</enum><header>Extension for
			 changes to requirements for admission of nonimmigrant nurses in health
			 professional shortage areas</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 2(e)(2) of the Nursing Relief for
			 Disadvantaged Areas Act of 1999 (8 U.S.C. 1182 note) is amended to read as
			 follows:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HE311A18E284548748F53BD5EF06FAD5E" style="OLC">
				<subsection id="HE84E258CE46B4F90BFDCA5640E1BD01D"><enum>(e)</enum><header>Application of
				Nonimmigrant Changes</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The
				amendments made by this section shall apply to classification petitions filed
				for nonimmigrant status only—</text>
					<paragraph id="HFAA0F536263D421F8A3C0FD1CF48C4BE"><enum>(1)</enum><text>during the
				period—</text>
						<subparagraph id="H34BFB1BA7C2348059843BDDECB4E2321"><enum>(A)</enum><text>beginning on the
				date that interim or final regulations are first promulgated under subsection
				(d); and</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE79A143094404D62B321265CB1BFCD21"><enum>(B)</enum><text>ending on the date
				that is 3 years after the date of the enactment of the Nursing Relief for
				Disadvantaged Areas Reauthorization Act of 2005; and</text>
						</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H71F5E9B763984016B73FBAAE0B7F4041"><enum>(2)</enum><text>beginning on the
				date of enactment of the Underserved Area Nursing Relief Restoration Act of
				2010.</text>
					</paragraph></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
		</section><section commented="no" id="H8EF1B54DF316438B97D3042F021CB428"><enum>3.</enum><header>Exemption from
			 the Administrative Procedure Act</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The requirements of chapter 5 of title 5,
			 United States Code (commonly referred to as the “Administrative Procedure Act”)
			 or any other law relating to rulemaking, information collection or publication
			 in the Federal Register, shall not apply to any action to implement the
			 amendments made by section 2 to the extent the Secretary Homeland of Security,
			 the Secretary of Labor, or the Secretary of Health and Human Services
			 determines that compliance with any such requirement would impede the
			 expeditious implementation of such amendments.</text>
