		<official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to exclude
		  executive branch officers and employees from nonrecognition rules relating to
		  the sale of property to comply with conflict-of-interest
		  requirements.</official-title>

		<section id="H663DE49354454911BBA3025CF255D932" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Exclusion of executive branch
			 officers and employees from conflict-of-interest nonrecognition rules</header>
			<subsection id="HF0B02AEC53A84F719138FB78C2E058EE"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subparagraph (A) of
			 section 1043(b)(1) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking
			 <quote>an officer or employee of the executive branch, or a judicial
			 officer,</quote> and inserting <quote>a judicial officer</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H12F0D600A68F4D25BC0E035763574BFD"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendments</header>
				<paragraph id="H1649E5A6E74A4181B1911750F9BEC3CB"><enum>(1)</enum><text>Paragraphs (1)(A)
			 and (5)(B) of section 1043(b) of such Code are each amended by striking
			 <quote>judicial canon, or executive order</quote> and inserting <quote>or
			 judicial canon</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H30CCA161050145BF964658B9C64BFA3F"><enum>(2)</enum><subparagraph commented="no" display-inline="yes-display-inline" id="HD8178A6482A84C17877CDCA4870BF08A"><enum>(A)</enum><text>Subparagraph (A) of
			 section 1043(b)(2) of such Code is amended by striking <quote>judicial canon,
			 or executive order</quote> and all that follows through <quote>Code)</quote>
			 and inserting <quote>or judicial canon</quote>.</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H9CD8731A04B547B195814222BA13BE50" indent="up1"><enum>(B)</enum><text>Subparagraph (B) of section 1043(b)(2)
			 of such Code is amended to read as follows:</text>
						<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H0396CB85FD654E188D15173B740FA463" style="OLC">
							<subparagraph id="HA8B61E10F87447DF9A627FB109358C36"><enum>(B)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">that has been issued by the Judicial
				Conference of the United States (or its designee),
				and</text>
							</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H6C6FC50F2DDD416FB3C18A7CB4CD37B6"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendment made by this section shall apply to sales
			 after the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
