		<section id="H1D5CA368F26B43E1BE5F2BFFB36D83A4" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Service for Healthier Kids
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HBB96286814BA4653A95C56071A9845E6"><enum>2.</enum><header>Interagency
			 agreement to promote nutrition assistance programs</header>
			<subsection id="H75635874AE8B45AEA0E458EE7EA45F43"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Interagency
			 agreement</header>
				<paragraph id="H0094894662ED42D6BEFBF7A002014893"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Secretary of
			 agriculture</header>
					<subparagraph id="HAE556E7B19FD4503B049EF10BE5BD5B0"><enum>(A)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">From the amounts
			 appropriated under subsection (c), the Secretary of Agriculture may enter into
			 an interagency agreement, in accordance with section 192A(g)(10) of the
			 National and Community Service Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12651b(g)(10)), with the
			 Corporation for National and Community Service to support a Nutrition Corps to
			 carry out the national service programs described in subsection (b) by
			 providing services that—</text>
						<clause id="H6A85B99842EC4C91A53167241FCDDEAE"><enum>(i)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">increase access to, and participation in,
			 the nutrition assistance programs administered by the Secretary of Agriculture;</text>
						</clause><clause id="H61C9C9B535804380A8701C37CFF5930B"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>improve the
			 quality of the nutrition assistance programs; and</text>
						</clause><clause id="HD61161F561E64444BF8367B99D4209D2"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>support local
			 agriculture and farm to school initiatives undertaken by the Secretary of
			 Agriculture.</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H5C2F295BB89F4C26B1FEE6D1840187FB"><enum>(B)</enum><header>Nutrition corps
			 assistance</header><text>From the amounts appropriated under subsection (c),
			 the Secretary of Agriculture, in entering into the interagency agreement under
			 subparagraph (A), may provide to the Corporation for National and Community
			 Service—</text>
						<clause id="HB944254FDA534C088150843EC8D9D1BB"><enum>(i)</enum><text>funds to be
			 transferred to the National Service Trust established under section 145 of the
			 National and Community Service Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12601) to provide
			 in-service or post-service benefits to; or</text>
						</clause><clause id="H73452CBE2E454ED28FD5FE3AF48D5481"><enum>(ii)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">funds to otherwise support,</text>
						</clause><continuation-text continuation-text-level="subparagraph">participants serving in the
			 Nutrition Corps who are enrolled in a national service program authorized under
			 the National and Community Service Act of 1990 (42 U.S.C. 12501 et seq.) or the
			 Domestic Volunteer Service Act of 1973 (42 U.S.C. 4950 et seq.).</continuation-text></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H8B30CB6FBCF7425B9D3CBA643E7EC065"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Corporation for
			 National and Community Service</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Corporation, in entering into the
			 interagency agreement under paragraph (1), shall approve, in accordance with
			 section 192A(g)(10) of the National and Community Service Act of 1990 (42
			 U.S.C. 12651b(g)(10)), positions for the national service programs carried out
			 by the Nutrition Corps as approved national service positions.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H1970E340761B4EBBB4EB51F284E60B68"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Nutrition
			 corps</header>
				<paragraph id="HCA28A76C237C4BEE9DAD4500EA5F82E8"><enum>(1)</enum><header>National service
			 programs</header><text>The national service programs carried out by the
			 Nutrition Corps shall—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H24739842E9B3492B84DC449D26402675"><enum>(A)</enum><text>address unmet
			 health needs within communities by providing services that—</text>
						<clause id="H85CFC79A0C5C46A3B2E309471963011A"><enum>(i)</enum><text>improve access to,
			 and increase participation in, the nutrition assistance programs administered
			 by the Secretary of Agriculture;</text>
						</clause><clause id="HD9679EB3AF02445C911297A2635986DE"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>improve the
			 quality of the nutrition assistance programs; and</text>
						</clause><clause id="HF917ABF668F34D57AC6B0EFB29545065"><enum>(iii)</enum><text>support local
			 agriculture and farm-to-school initiatives undertaken by the Secretary of
			 Agriculture; and</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><subparagraph id="H7D71F41C1B894F36A8C73754229F5845"><enum>(B)</enum><text>comply with the
			 nonduplication and nondisplacement requirements of section 177 of the National
			 and Community Service Act (42 U.S.C. 12637).</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H79DBD93E730440869F2725A1837785C0"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Services
			 authorized to be provided</header><text>The services provided by the national
			 service programs under paragraph (1) may include—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H61776E6D4A754D1999D9035FC037F023"><enum>(A)</enum><text>helping expand
			 in-classroom breakfast under the school breakfast program authorized under
			 section 4 of the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 (42 U.S.C. 1773) by assisting with
			 set up and clean up;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HDD13CFF163BA42F983E20063EE1145A7"><enum>(B)</enum><text>expanding access
			 to the summer food service program authorized under section 13 of the Richard
			 B. Russell National School Lunch Act (42 U.S.C. 1761) by assisting with
			 activities for children, transporting and preparing food, and conducting
			 outreach to recruit sponsors and participants;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H47987E8D7B834D6D83F7B7DEA85E88D9"><enum>(C)</enum><text>helping educate
			 and train program providers for the nutrition assistance programs, which may
			 include assisting home providers under the child and adult care food program
			 authorized under section 17 of the Richard B. Russell National School Lunch Act
			 (42 U.S.C. 1786) in promoting healthy food choices and physical activity among
			 children;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H14D66E36D3CA452ABBEA4203795719E1"><enum>(D)</enum><text>helping clinics
			 participating in the special supplemental nutrition program for women, infants,
			 and children authorized under section 17 of the Child Nutrition Act of 1966 (42
			 U.S.C. 1786) with services requested by such clinics;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H1F4B2E0FE34040F89B2EF7F49D1992C2"><enum>(E)</enum><text>conducting
			 community needs assessments in support of efforts to reduce obesity, promote
			 healthy eating, and end childhood hunger;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA5319902EF8144239CAA9DD7436387FF"><enum>(F)</enum><text>helping promote
			 local agriculture and farm-to-school initiatives undertaken by the Secretary of
			 Agriculture; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H6D98FB4FCB8C4D2E858B934FA3329782"><enum>(G)</enum><text>coordinating and
			 convening community stakeholders to cross-promote nutrition programs and lead
			 related planning processes.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H23CD03B1EE824678A428FCE9A82D927E"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Authorization of
			 appropriations</header><text>There are authorized to be appropriated such sums
			 as are necessary to carry out this section for fiscal year 2011 and each of
			 fiscal years 2012 through 2015.</text>
