<section id="H833EAC8FA1614C5FB8B803FD8E72C80B" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>United States Postal Service Postal Inspectors Equity Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="H7B720B0714C945DA85CC6BA7C1EDF11A" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Eligibility for availability pay</header> 
<subsection id="HF89F8D0EB32A4429B75409E111CF4546"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 5545a of title 5, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text> 
<quoted-block style="USC" id="H6692344DD5F84A6692D98F260AFBA529" display-inline="no-display-inline"> 
<subsection id="HE04B3896EB1E4B1899DE8434838228E6"><enum>(l)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The provisions of subsections (a)–(h) providing for availability pay shall apply to a Postal Inspector. For the purpose of this section, section 5542(d) of this title, and section 13(a)(16) and (b)(30) of the Fair Labor Standards Act of 1938 (29 U.S.C. 213(a)(16) and (b)(30)), a Postal Inspector shall be deemed to be a criminal investigator as defined in this section. For purposes of this subsection, the term <term>Postal Inspector</term> has the meaning given such term under section 1003(c) of title 39.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection> 
<subsection id="H8EACC5D5B0044A2B9AD5E25560468A6C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming amendment</header><text>Section 410(b)(11) of title 39, United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>Section 5520a</quote> and inserting <quote>Sections 5520a and 5545a</quote>. </text></subsection></section>
