		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to extend the
		  period of time in which a member of the Armed Forces may transfer educational
		  assistance under the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance Program to a dependent

		<section id="H8D0D17865D484F7D8E1E611B2A4FB820" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote>Post-9/11 GI Bill Improvement Act</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H2FC2BE24A8214813BCE840F1BCD88846"><enum>2.</enum><header>Time period for
			 transfer of educational assistance under the Post-9/11 Educational Assistance
			 program</header>
			<subsection id="H438B0512780C40F9AE027D3E73014692"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Paragraph (5) of
			 section 3319(h) of title 38, United States Code, is amended to read as
			 follows:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H8753893D1DD6487CA981A7CA59499492" style="USC">
					<paragraph id="H0DCE0C776F8B467FB83E288FD4FF5F3D"><enum>(5)</enum><header>Limitation on
				age of transfer and use by children</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Educational assistance transferred under
				this section to a child—</text>
						<subparagraph id="H3D5F7942986E49DDAE7D8B0758252F6C"><enum>(A)</enum><text>may be transferred
				at any time before the child attains the age of 26 years; and</text>
						</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H391B4B424A874823B2F967E78E43128D"><enum>(B)</enum><text>may be used
				without regard to the 15-year delimiting date, but may not be used after the
				child attains the age of 26
				years.</text>
						</subparagraph></paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H5728CBB952624A5E93BD6C0C1DEFEC07"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendment made by
			 this section shall take effect on the date that is 90 days after the date of
			 the enactment of this Act.</text>
