		  additional Border Patrol agents along the southwest international border of the

		<section id="H34EAF4D170F04314B20242DCF3398603" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Southern Border Security Act of 2010</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HE44CC576B69246C990F58E92D081C982"><enum>2.</enum><header>Increase in
			 Border Patrol agents along southwest international border</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The Secretary of Homeland Security shall
			 hire, train, and deploy additional Border Patrol agents along the southwest
			 international border of the United States as follows:</text>
			<paragraph id="HAF33D283BF974029B9EF6D8BB8985031"><enum>(1)</enum><text>2,000 additional
			 Border Patrol agents by September 30, 2010, over the number of such agents as
			 of the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="HA3EE9211C0D54320A54F18DAC2F15E1B"><enum>(2)</enum><text>1,500 additional
			 Border Patrol agents by September 30, 2011, over the number of such agents on
			 September 30, 2010.</text>
