		<section id="HD465778280B94AA4AE488D458989DABD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Liability for Aiding and Abetting
			 Securities Violations Act of 2010</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H3EA4616E65314CA2B59D547D22E8B66A"><enum>2.</enum><header>Private civil
			 actions for aiding and abetting</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 20(e) of the Securities Exchange Act
			 of 1934 (15 U.S.C. 78t(e)) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="HF8AAE23DC7824A3DA1D6EFAF09EFBC00"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the subsection
			 heading, by striking <quote><header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Prosecution of</header-in-text></quote> and inserting
			 <quote><header-in-text level="subsection" style="OLC">Actions
			 against</header-in-text></quote>;</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H2EC5BC3C7BEC4579B7FD82E321C6B7CC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>For purposes</quote> and inserting the following:</text>

			 <quote>knowingly</quote>; and</text>

			 end the following:</text>

				recklessly provides substantial assistance to another person in violation of
				this title, or of any rule or regulation issued under this title, shall be
				deemed to be in violation of this title to the same extent as the person to
				whom such assistance is
