		<section id="HAAF1909C8AB0413BAA451C00DFE07854" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Congressional Pay Cut for Debt
			 Reduction Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H7C4FFC385E3A4FD8B5B621DE347EF30B" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Reduction of pay of
			 Members of Congress and elimination of automatic pay adjustments</header>
			<subsection id="H461CB3DABADB44C8A80A2AB354890390"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Reduction of
			 pay</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 601(a)(1) of the
			 Legislative Reorganization Act of 1946 (2 U.S.C. 31(1)) is amended by inserting
			 <quote>90 percent of</quote> before <quote>the rate determined for such
			 positions</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="H775C52BC632049C9903D3D6701C6E850"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Elimination of
			 automatic pay adjustments</header><text>Section 601(a) of such Act is amended
			 by striking paragraph (2).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HC1F64E88FAF0410DA9EAB6209B0CED28"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendments</header><text>Section 601(a)(1) of such Act is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="HAA3045E36DEA47288CE1E5A0A19CE935"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>(a)(1)</quote> and inserting <quote>(a)</quote>;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H4DA1D5D123D243B399DAA113B276E535"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by redesignating
			 subparagraphs (A), (B), and (C) as paragraphs (1), (2), and (3), respectively;
			 and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H9B06731563D2408C9BE48A8D54668C22"><enum>(3)</enum><text>by striking
			 <quote>, as adjusted by paragraph (2) of this subsection</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H63C46FCBB51E4F10985C76B43C9EAE4F"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by
			 this section shall take effect on December 31, 2010.</text>
			</subsection></section><section id="HB8797BECAEA54284A9F60AA89978DF48"><enum>3.</enum><header>Dedication of
			 savings to reduction of national debt</header>
			<subsection id="H3B50F3D5A7CC4ADE86052AD89C6ABD49"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">As soon as
			 practicable after the beginning of each fiscal year, the Secretary of the
			 Treasury shall calculate the reduction in outlays expected to occur during the
			 fiscal year as a result of the application of the amendments made by section 2,
			 and transfer an amount equal to such reduction out of the general fund of the
			 Treasury and to the account established under section 3113(d) of title 31,
			 United States Code, to reduce the public debt.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HEF99A8F501A843F2AA4F3FCA2504DA8A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Not less than 60 days before each transfer
			 under subsection (a), the Secretary of the Treasury shall submit to the
			 Congress a report setting forth the amount of the proposed transfer and the
			 methodology used by the Secretary to calculate the amount.</text>
