		<official-title>To direct the Secretary of Veterans Affairs to carry out
		  a pilot program establishing a child-care center for children of veterans
		  receiving treatment and other individuals.</official-title>

		<section id="HFF2CEDA915134DE7A722230F8EC20AEA" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Establishment of child-care
			 center pilot program</header>
			<subsection id="H3968BDA2AA0E4D088AFED566DABDCB01"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subject to the
			 availability of appropriations for such purpose, the Secretary shall carry out
			 a pilot program establishing a child-care center described in subsection
			 (b).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HD2B1459AD9014E69B4EA9CCD4EB83639"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Requirements</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A child-care center described in this
			 subsection is a child-care center that—</text>
				<paragraph id="H3FF3A10EE2C543F89D03E95BF83370C3"><enum>(1)</enum><text>is made available
			 (to the extent space is available) to children of—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H2EC2722311B14164AA7C36A3ED902244"><enum>(A)</enum><text>veterans receiving
			 treatment or other services at the facility in which the child-care center is
			 located;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H3171ABD656D645EF9DFE83F0BFA22826"><enum>(B)</enum><text>employees of the
			 Department of Veterans Affairs;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H863A2BF5E26B40AF84A58883F4751B84"><enum>(C)</enum><text>employees of a
			 contractor of the Department of Veterans Affairs;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H0528421B94BE420A9F67FF9176EDC7DA"><enum>(D)</enum><text>employees of
			 veterans service organizations; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HE972BF562B514C8F890CBBBD83C26B5F"><enum>(E)</enum><text>members of the
			 Armed Forces on active duty whose duty station—</text>
						<clause id="H10E35525F4BD4E4080AF9B9E4F6E9177"><enum>(i)</enum><text>is
			 in the same geographic area as the child-care center; and</text>
						</clause><clause id="HCBADAE2623424657A9E2E804FD4264D0"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>does not have
			 child-care services made available to the member by the Secretary of Defense;
			 and</text>
						</clause></subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H65044BF437FF45BAB8318E0AF8EC92F9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>is located at the
			 Bay Pines Medical Center, Bay Pines, Florida.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H7B050FE80ABD413F99F9C92AD4801F3C"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Current
			 standards</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Except as provided
			 in subsection (b), section 7809 of title 38, United States Code, shall apply to
			 the child-care center established under subsection (a).</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HEEF637D7A50C4E93B2F5E5D967B40BD0"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not
			 later than two years after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary
			 shall submit to the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs of the House of
			 Representatives and the Committee on Veterans’ Affairs of the Senate a report
			 on the child-care center established under subsection (a), including—</text>
				<paragraph id="H907320C9204D4B26AA3A49939DCFDF68"><enum>(1)</enum><text>an assessment of
			 the success of the center;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H46638F62604840C2BD89C8F818A44240"><enum>(2)</enum><text>whether the center
			 improves the access of veterans to outpatient treatment;</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HEA562532104F496BBD6733A3311E9C80"><enum>(3)</enum><text>the number of
			 children that—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H032EC02EDB4848BAB6E488ADD872F316"><enum>(A)</enum><text>the center is
			 capable of caring for each day; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H454FA64B684F4925906CBCB3B04219DC"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the center cares
			 for each day on average; and</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H8B98C29897B241BBABB7F6D3DA3852CB"><enum>(4)</enum><text>any
			 recommendations regarding whether to expand the pilot program to other
			 locations.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection></section></legis-body>
