		<official-title>To amend the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 to allow a
		  temporary deduction for interest on unsecured credit card
		  debt.</official-title>

		<section id="H606C603CC6864A79A605EED24ABD5550" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Cash Back Reward Act of
			 2010</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H764952AAD6AE45ADB8010FFB41ADD13F"><enum>2.</enum><header>Temporary
			 deduction for interest on unsecured credit card debt</header>
			<subsection id="H3B851ED979DE42FFB974AE2361E7E858"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Paragraph (2) of
			 section 163(h) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 (relating to disallowance
			 of deduction for personal interest) is amended by striking <quote>and</quote>
			 at the end of subparagraph (E), by striking the period at the end of
			 subparagraph (F) and inserting <quote>, and</quote>, and by adding at the end
			 the following new subparagraph:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H20A340CD3C8149138FBB62495B6EFEAD" style="OLC">
					<subparagraph id="HDE81B695D3EC4B15AB9045B28F6551E5"><enum>(G)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">any interest—</text>
						<clause id="H31A127C398B44406A2E555C621A26C84"><enum>(i)</enum><text>which is paid by
				an individual on unsecured credit card debt of the individual during taxable
				years beginning after December 31, 2009, and before January 1, 2011, and</text>
						</clause><clause id="HEBBB11AB0C1D43298A5BFCA0E8154BDB"><enum>(ii)</enum><text>which is not
				otherwise allowable as a deduction under this
				chapter.</text>
						</clause></subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HE7174C18F0EE431E9F68D0E01523CB89"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Limitation</header><text>Paragraph
			 (4) of section 163(h) of such Code is amended by adding at the end the
			 following new subparagraph:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H6A09DA39F5834794BA85EDA5A571749C" style="OLC">
					<subparagraph id="H29EF6ED9B87C48DBB1AC7F518910C0E3"><enum>(G)</enum><header>Dollar
				limitation on unsecured credit card debt</header><text>The amount of interest
				which may be taken into account under paragraph (2)(G) shall not exceed $5,000
				($10,000 in the case of a joint return) for any taxable
				year.</text>
					</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HBAEC1C161DC44A2EB1A056394553AF18"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>The amendments made by this section shall apply to taxable
			 years beginning after December 31, 2009.</text>
