<official-title display="yes">To authorize the Secretary of the Interior to conduct a special resource study to determine the suitability and feasibility of designating the Colonel Charles Young Home in Xenia, Ohio as a unit of the National Park System, and for other purposes.</official-title>

<section id="H15F0783B1CAC46F6B8CA7A4A539EB519" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Colonel Charles Young Home Study Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section> 
<section id="HC1ABFBA3AF9C40A58813D8B037217AD2"><enum>2.</enum><header>Special resource study</header> 
<subsection id="H30F6B4416E334833AD66CCEFAB81872C"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Study</header><text>The Secretary of the Interior (referred to in this Act as the <quote>Secretary</quote>), in consultation with the Secretary of the Army, shall conduct a special resource study of the Colonel Charles Young Home, a National Historic Landmark in Xenia, Ohio (referred to in this Act as the <quote>Home</quote>).</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H3AC61EAF12EB4228B82AB9BF300648BC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Contents</header><text>In conducting the study under subsection (a), the Secretary shall—</text> 
<paragraph id="HA571958C6F5E4F1CBAC07A991C9F01CF"><enum>(1)</enum><text>evaluate any architectural and archeological resources of the Home;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HE05447EE64E544419ABDD74B3D5B856E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>determine the suitability and feasibility of designating the Home as a unit of the National Park System;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H0B491C6E160F4FBABCBB3E81649C63D8"><enum>(3)</enum><text>consider other alternatives for preservation, protection, and interpretation of the Home by Federal, State, or local governmental entities or private and nonprofit organizations, including the use of shared management agreements with the Dayton Aviation Heritage National Historical Park or specific units of that Park, such as the Paul Laurence Dunbar Home;</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H9DF1EB2A12CF499291430D5697361804"><enum>(4)</enum><text>consult with the Ohio Historical Society, Central State University, Wilberforce University, and other interested Federal, State, or local governmental entities, private and nonprofit organizations, or individuals; and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="HA0EAB3301FF34DB3B46632041C8EA535"><enum>(5)</enum><text>identify cost estimates for any Federal acquisition, development, interpretation, operation, and maintenance associated with the alternatives considered under the study.</text></paragraph></subsection> 
<subsection id="H4D45388955124380ABC2D72AF9644E8B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Applicable law</header><text>The study required under subsection (a) shall be conducted in accordance with section 8 of <external-xref legal-doc="public-law" parsable-cite="pl/91/383">Public Law 91–383</external-xref> (<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/16/1a">16 U.S.C. 1a–5</external-xref>).</text></subsection> 
<subsection id="H071F3D436096437FB85583BFB68FDBF8"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not later than 3 years after the date on which funds are first made available for the study under subsection (a), the Secretary shall submit to the Committee on Natural Resources of the House of Representatives and the Committee on Energy and Natural Resources of the Senate a report that contains—</text> 
<paragraph id="H89C0E735A26F47869F99DC9BD2E82DF4"><enum>(1)</enum><text>the results of the study under subsection (a); and</text></paragraph> 
<paragraph id="H5DD7ABD0AFD24BFEB1D8AC8658EC550D"><enum>(2)</enum><text>any conclusions and recommendations of the Secretary.</text></paragraph></subsection></section>
