<section id="HA9C89CFB60D24F42A6F04AADB0AA3ED1" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the <quote><short-title>Bunitan Tåsi Act</short-title></quote>.</text></section>
<section id="H4A85F05F12EA4475812417EA2DDF7929"><enum>2.</enum><header>Definitions</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In this Act:</text>
<paragraph id="HD33DA421ABE3465CB9BCE2A0889D0D9E"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Proclamation</header><text>The term <quote>Proclamation</quote> means Presidential Proclamation 8335 of January 6, 2009.</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HD84773ABBABF493FBAABFE1BFFCEF08F"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Secretaries</header><text>The term <quote>Secretaries</quote> means the Secretary of the Interior and the Secretary of Commerce.</text></paragraph></section>
<section id="HE5E36E2E0D9542E3B6B6C057F74930E4"><enum>3.</enum><header>Treatment of the Government of Guam as a cooperating agency</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">In implementing the Proclamation, the Secretaries shall treat the Government of Guam as a cooperating agency with responsibilities and roles similar to the Government of the Commonwealth of the Northern Mariana Islands, including with respect to membership on the Mariana Monument Advisory Council.</text></section>
<section id="H43AB9C44E67641B7A926C5249FFD6B8D"><enum>4.</enum><header>Enhancement of National Wildlife Refuge System resource management, visitor services, and environmental education programs on Guam</header>
<subsection id="H5A080AC9C6B34DB6AE60C3063DB2D409"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of the Interior may—</text>
<paragraph id="HE26DA067D0A04C64ADDDDEC3CD1653A0"><enum>(1)</enum><text>enhance existing visitor services programs at the Guam National Wildlife Refuge; and</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="HC066389E913841F5804D4F09C9CA4EF4"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">initiate a comprehensive program, in consultation with the Government of Guam, to—</text>
<subparagraph id="H53DA6AF517CF435E802679A89E7AAC19"><enum>(A)</enum><text>facilitate natural resource exploration and research; and</text></subparagraph>
<subparagraph id="H3A4E3DD324E04C9ABBF5A6D4C4D012E9"><enum>(B)</enum><text>encourage tourism, recreation, and economic opportunities to build public awareness and appreciation of the natural resources under the jurisdiction of the Department of the Interior and the Department of Commerce.</text></subparagraph></paragraph></subsection>
<subsection id="H99DF3CA1F5414A5E84A9DCF0B7EB6C4A"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Included activities</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Activities under subsection (a) may include—</text>
<paragraph id="HE4C4BC4E51314CE2BD8F0C7418C356D2"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">enhanced resource management, research, and visitor services programs to promote and interpret for the general public the fish and wildlife resources of Guam including activities to improve conservation of coral reef ecosystems (as that term is defined in the Coral Reef Conservation Act of 2000 (16 U.S.C. 6401 et seq.)) and activities to conserve the marine resources of Guam, including indigenous fishing; and</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H61265E8C12CF4CDA8474AABCBCD7BE0E"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the facilitation of environmental education for students on Guam in partnership with the University of Guam, the Guam Community College, and the Guam Department of Education.</text></paragraph></subsection>
<subsection id="HFEF5B07347D74B01BB334398D842F80B"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Donations</header><text>For the purposes of carrying out this section, the Secretary of the Interior may accept, retain, and expend donations of funds, and use property or services donated from private persons and entities or from public entities.</text></subsection></section>
</legis-body> <official-title-amendment>Amend the title so as to read: <quote>A bill to provide for treatment of the Government of Guam as a cooperating agency in the implementation of the Presidential proclamation that established the Marianas Trench Marine National Monument, to provide for the enhancement of visitor services at the Guam National Wildlife Refuge, and for other purposes.</quote>.</official-title-amendment>
