		<section id="H4354787688B14614BD1F99B1A5B0D58E" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Back to Work Tax Credit Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6A5891E6DCF94864BA988CA4E830D975"><enum>2.</enum><header>Work opportunity
			 tax credit to include long-term unemployed individuals</header>
			<subsection id="HAA3B010B06644C7887E60F4496EB68F7"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Paragraph (1) of
			 section 51(d) of the Internal Revenue Code of 1986 is amended by striking
			 <quote>or</quote> at the end of subparagraph (H), by striking the period at the
			 end of subparagraph (I) and inserting <quote>, or</quote>, and by adding at the
			 end the following new subparagraph:</text>

					<subparagraph id="HCD64D3BF25AE469BABFFF596F0AE3C01"><enum>(J)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">a long-term unemployed
				individual.</text>
					</subparagraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="H381ACEAB2CDA45C3BC863CAB30D26037"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Long-Term
			 unemployed individual</header><text>Subsection (d) of section 51 of such Code
			 is amended by redesignating paragraphs (11), (12), (13), and (14) as paragraphs
			 (12), (13), (14), and (15), repsectively, and by inserting after paragraph (10)
			 the following new paragraph:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HDB240CDF1E90474C966C4CFF3FDDEB83" style="OLC">
					<paragraph id="HB3C7E6887F4444FB8B4BACD4BD6BD47B"><enum>(11)</enum><header>Long-term
				unemployed individual</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The
				term <term>long-term unemployed individual</term> means any individual who is
				certified by the designated local agency as being in receipt of unemployment
				compensation under State or Federal law for not less than 26 consecutive weeks
				during the 1-year period ending on the hiring
				date.</text>

			</subsection><subsection id="HB9ACE6CDD82E4D05846BD259B809701C"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The amendments made by
			 this section shall apply to individuals who begin work for the employer after
			 the date of the enactment of this Act.</text>
