		  Veterans Affairs to jointly conduct a study on the incidence of breast cancer

		<section id="HD80897A48C004AFAADE3C394B57E7A3D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Armed Forces Breast Cancer Research
			 Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H25C98DE8B41D419FB58E2A0D329B7618"><enum>2.</enum><header>Study on breast
			 cancer among members of the Armed Forces and veterans</header>
			<subsection id="H81608454003E4FE5B277C34686D98445"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Study</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The Secretary of Defense and the Secretary
			 of Veterans Affairs shall jointly conduct a study on the incidence of breast
			 cancer among members of the Armed Forces (including members of the National
			 Guard and Reserve components) and veterans. Such study shall include the
			 following:</text>
				<paragraph id="H4F733A4B421E469990C6F03059947EDD"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A determination of the number of the
			 members and veterans diagnosed with breast cancer.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3AD440DF7D12495C9AB33CB80B3C45A6"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">A determination of demographic information
			 regarding such members and veterans, including—</text>
					<subparagraph id="H7DAB0B93842F4A8991D991E3EDE199D9"><enum>(A)</enum><text>race;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H18E924668B2F4C2BA1AA0A815A78323B"><enum>(B)</enum><text>ethnicity;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H27D5CEB446994D8C987CBCF4F21C2C81"><enum>(C)</enum><text>sex;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HFAE7030E6ACC410787F72626EC6EFCC7"><enum>(D)</enum><text>age;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H97CE185EB72043868EC947C88FC21075"><enum>(E)</enum><text>possible exposure
			 to hazardous elements or chemical or biological agents (including any vaccines)
			 and where such exposure occurred;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="HA0C845055FD04BA8BE6A78E11CF042CD"><enum>(F)</enum><text>the locations of
			 duty stations that such member or veteran was assigned;</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H4BDD8AEC2AAF4C6C9FD5A5833AB6008E"><enum>(G)</enum><text>the locations in
			 which such member or veteran was deployed; and</text>
					</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H9774DE55D3CF48B484A06C7C39E8D8F4"><enum>(H)</enum><text>the geographic
			 area of residence prior to deployment.</text>
					</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="H63C70FFA0F324ADA812A819E7007E88E"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">An analysis of breast cancer treatments
			 received by such members and veterans.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HE0F28C99846F4B0C8AC239282C00ABA8"><enum>(4)</enum><text>Other information
			 the Secretaries consider necessary.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H32B455AD9EA44F16B18F83BFD739094F"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Report</header><text>Not
			 later than 18 months after the date of the enactment of this Act, the Secretary
			 of Defense and the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall jointly submit to
			 Congress a report containing the results of the study required under subsection
			 (a).</text>
