		<official-title>To amend title 38, United States Code, to direct the
		  Secretary of Veterans Affairs to publish redacted medical quality-assurance
		  records of the Department of Veterans Affairs on the Internet website of the

		<section id="H2C9978BDD16E4865B9BB8880F10C7E4F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote>Transparency for America’s Heroes Act</quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HD6E806908F26402783A3D34C9E1580EE"><enum>2.</enum><header>Release of
			 medical quality-assurance records</header>
			<subsection id="H3B7A1C74C76C4383B20B2A386D9A90F1"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header>
				<paragraph display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HCE5DF209D4BE4F4D8E13E48B28A8C2B0"><enum>(1)</enum><header>Disclosure</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (a) of section 5705 of title 38,
			 United States Code, is amended by striking <quote>except as provided in
			 subsection (b) of this section</quote> and inserting <quote>if such record or
			 document contains identifying information described in paragraph (2) of
			 subsection (b)</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H3DAE85BEB5D3418EB5E47435B75D9342"><enum>(2)</enum><header>Internet
			 database</header><text>Paragraph (3) of section 5705(b) of title 38, United
			 States Code, is amended to read as follows:</text>
					<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HDE42982F38AE4FBD83DB8F824E49439D" style="USC">
						<paragraph id="HA85EEF0339E042F7835997C02AB697DF" indent="up1"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In addition to a disclosure made under
				paragraph (1), and subject to paragraph (2), not later than 30 days after a
				record or document described in subsection (a) is created, the Secretary shall
				make the record or document available on the Internet website (or successor
				protocol) of the Department in a manner that is easily accessible by the
				public.</text>
						</paragraph><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H9CDD9D94579742F2A4420DAFD917923B"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Unredacted
			 disclosure</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Subsection (e) of
			 section 5705 of such title is amended by striking <quote>except as provided for
			 in subsection (b) of this section</quote> and inserting <quote>that contains
			 identifying information described in paragraph (2) of subsection
			 (b)</quote>.</text>
			</subsection><subsection id="HFF044030F2834515B2D884E2FE1C9D1C"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Prior
			 records</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">In carrying out
			 subsection (b)(3) of section 5705 of title 38, United States Code, as amended
			 by subsection (a)(2) of this section, the Secretary of Veterans Affairs shall
			 ensure that records or documents described in subsection (a) of such section
			 5705 that were created during the two-year period preceding the date of the
			 enactment of this Act are made available on the Internet website of the
			 Department.</text>
