		<section id="id5DBB2ABEBE904CB483388290F899B19D" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Prohibition on sale and
			 counterfeiting of inaugural tickets</header>
			<subsection id="id62CF29BEF62A487290A799B3FE8BFA1E"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text><external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/25">Chapter 25</external-xref> of title 18,
			 United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>

					<section id="idE3839B10195C4BCEB9D45EE77736C723"><enum>515.</enum><header>Prohibition on
				sale and counterfeiting of inaugural tickets</header>
						<subsection id="id72A77C4339A74C20B24BD85E0D64FA52"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
				general</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">It shall be unlawful
				for any person to—</text>
							<paragraph id="ID9ff5220aa6944e518ef06aeb523d96dd"><enum>(1)</enum><text>except as
				provided in subsection (b), knowingly and willfully sell for money or property,
				or facilitate the sale for money or property of, a ticket to a Presidential
				inaugural ceremony;</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="ID2744c01a30b14dc4adc620ef3b7a45aa"><enum>(2)</enum><text>with the intent
				to defraud, falsely make, forge, counterfeit, or falsely alter a ticket to a
				Presidential inaugural ceremony; or</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="IDb0bfbf9136a4406aa353a2873e758a21"><enum>(3)</enum><text>with the intent
				to defraud, use, unlawfully possess, or exhibit a ticket to a Presidential
				inaugural ceremony, knowing the ticket to be falsely made, forged,
				counterfeited, or falsely altered.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id19CD531E6E0F4464936E7AF39A0A5085"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Exception</header><text>This
				section shall not apply to the sale for money or property, facilitation of such
				a sale, or attempt of such a sale, of a ticket to a Presidential inaugural
				ceremony—</text>
							<paragraph id="idE1B03244B8314955B0F340F79D50CB63"><enum>(1)</enum><text>that occurs after
				the date on which the Presidential inaugural ceremony for which the ticket was
				issued occurs; or</text>
							</paragraph><paragraph id="id3C72664E5EF3436BA954294A27CDC11A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by an official
				presidential inaugural committee established on behalf of a President-elect of
				the United States.</text>
							</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="id6E5C67E48A814B61BD0C32981B1041CD"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Penalty</header><text>Whoever
				violates subsection (a) shall be fined under this title, imprisoned not more
				than 1 year, or both.</text>
						</subsection><subsection id="id9916C071B49B47A392FFE6C6141602FA"><enum>(d)</enum><header>Definition</header><text>In
				this section, the term <term>Presidential inaugural ceremony</term> means a
				public inaugural ceremony at which the President-elect or the Vice
				President-elect take the oath or affirmation of office for the office of
				President of the United States or the office of Vice President of the United
				States,
				respectively.</text>

			</subsection><subsection commented="no" display-inline="no-display-inline" id="IDCDCD08930B02454DB64C94FCB67455F8"><enum>(b)</enum><header display-inline="yes-display-inline">Amendment to chapter analysis</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The chapter analysis for
			 <external-xref legal-doc="usc-chapter" parsable-cite="usc-chapter/18/25">chapter 25</external-xref> of title 18,
			 United States Code, is amended by inserting at the end the following:</text>
