		<official-title>To amend title 18, United States Code, to prevent
		  misrepresentation of their ages by on-line predators as a means for the
		  enticement of children.</official-title>

		<section id="H04CB2DBF29C444C887AF171303F685DD" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Capturing On-line Predators Act of
			 2009</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H6248EB1144C541FEA414712040BEF7D7"><enum>2.</enum><header>Misrepresentation
			 of age by on-line predators</header>
			<subsection id="HE25D18CCA8674C5A86713465019D0132"><enum>(a)</enum><header>Offense</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Chapter 117 of title 18, United States
			 Code, is amended by inserting after section 2422 the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HF719DE1334F34F46AB0FD70945985CEB" style="USC">
					<section id="H39DE0FC6C3C34BE389D68C9BDC030778"><enum>2422A.</enum><header>Misrepresentation
				of age by on-line predators</header>
						<subsection id="H385BF16D8A6548D4996D16F729A1717A"><enum>(a)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Whoever, being 18 years of age or older,
				knowingly misrepresents their age in an on-line communication to a minor to
				persuade, induce, entice, or coerce any individual to engage in any sexual
				activity for which any person can be charged with a criminal offense, or
				attempts to do so, shall be fined under this title or imprisoned for not more
				than 10 years, or both. A defendant sentenced to imprisonment under this
				section shall serve that sentence consecutively to any sentence of imprisonment
				imposed for any other offense in the same criminal episode.</text>
						</subsection><subsection id="H6C14594ECE8342F4A9256FB5B7BCB2DC"><enum>(b)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">As used in this section, the term
				<term>on-line communication</term> means any communication over the
				Internet.</text>
						</subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
			</subsection><subsection id="HEAFFBA38E600477FA5B4E490C824C2BC"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Conforming
			 amendment to table of sections</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The table of sections at the beginning of
			 chapter 117 of title 18, United States Code, is amended by inserting after the
			 item relating to section 2422 the following new item:</text>
