		<official-title>To amend title 5, United States Code, to increase the
		  maximum age to qualify for coverage as a <quote>child</quote> under the health
		  benefits program for Federal employees.</official-title>

		<section id="H3A2295EDBB8E4AA184C7E341CD495D8A" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Increase in maximum age to
			 qualify for coverage as a <quote>child</quote></header>
			<subsection id="H7655F89E7E6E472E9186903E1D2FFA17"><enum>(a)</enum><header>In
			 general</header><text>Section 8901(5) of title 5, United States Code, is
			 amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H25EC31CE1C374B51AE7F64EE42A90959"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in the matter
			 preceding subparagraph (A), by striking <quote>22 years of age</quote> and
			 inserting <quote>25 years of age</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="HB9FE9FB2BE294CD59480F1450DBEAB5A"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in the matter
			 following subparagraph (B), by striking <quote>age 22</quote> and inserting
			 <quote>age 25</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HEC10F88FE46D4F22AC9EE773F4883B37"><enum>(b)</enum><header>Self and family
			 coverage for a former spouse</header><text>Section 8905(c)(2)(B) of title 5,
			 United States Code, is amended—</text>
				<paragraph id="H4A8D1C8A082446EF97FA6DB010705F9A"><enum>(1)</enum><text>in clause (i), by
			 striking <quote>22 years of age</quote> and inserting <quote>25 years of
			 age</quote>; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H18F0A45AC7A2405A9548FD92E8CEC892"><enum>(2)</enum><text>in clause (ii), by
			 striking <quote>age 22</quote> and inserting <quote>age 25</quote>.</text>
				</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="HB81342263C8340409E982A345CCE12AA"><enum>(c)</enum><header>Effective
			 date</header><text>This Act and the amendments made by this Act—</text>
				<paragraph id="HD2296CED58FD482AA200660C1448B44D"><enum>(1)</enum><text>shall take effect
			 on the first day of the first contract year beginning at least 180 days after
			 the date of the enactment of this Act; and</text>
				</paragraph><paragraph id="H7530E9E446F94B3EA0D8FE9AF640FEDB"><enum>(2)</enum><text>shall apply with
			 respect to health care services or supplies provided on or after the date on
			 which this Act takes effect.</text>
