		<section id="HBDA19B1093EA4CFA88A29CF94598527" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Common Sense in Sentencing Act of
			 2009</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="HAFCDA48917AC4DA7849F9C80C433EFE9"><enum>2.</enum><header>Authority to
			 impose a sentence below a statutory minimum</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 3553 of title 18, United States
			 Code, is amended by adding at the end the following:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="HCBED34528E7B49419F5CD2E97E42C47D" style="USC">
				<subsection id="H3FFEE4D50E254AB288D13FEB0060AAB"><enum>(g)</enum><header>Authority To
				impose a sentence below a statutory minimum To prevent an unjust
				sentence</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Notwithstanding any
				other provision of law, the court may impose a sentence below a statutory
				minimum if the court finds that it is necessary to do so in order to avoid
				violating the requirements of subsection
				(a).</text>
