		<official-title display="yes">To correct and simplify the drafting of
		  section 1752 (relating to restricted buildings or grounds) of title 18, United
		  States Code.</official-title>

		<section id="HE74164B6B5C1459C80EC09AFFAA86C49" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Federal Restricted Buildings and
			 Grounds Improvement Act of 2010</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H32152D67744E4AE1A75635167A0AB453" section-type="subsequent-section"><enum>2.</enum><header>Restricted buildings
			 or grounds</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/1752">Section 1752</external-xref> of
			 title 18, United States Code, is amended to read as follows:</text>
			<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H53851737F38A432BBC11E9E77C13228B" style="USC">
				<section id="HC04DE96203AB49539624853E96FA9E2D"><enum>1752.</enum><header>Restricted
				buildings or grounds</header>
					<subsection id="H77875C645A1749A3A7F64A42723DD6C0"><enum>(a)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Whoever—</text>
						<paragraph id="HB15244C775F3473DA39259F178C6294F"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">knowingly enters or remains in any
				restricted building or grounds without lawful authority to do so;</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="HFC81F5CA64EC4658AF28C55754C9C75F"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">knowingly, and with intent to impede or
				disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions,
				engages in disorderly or disruptive conduct in, or within such proximity to,
				any restricted building or grounds when, or so that, such conduct, in fact,
				impedes or disrupts the orderly conduct of Government business or official
				functions;</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="HD6057764C28F4078B4E83636AFE214A1"><enum>(3)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">knowingly, and with the intent to impede or
				disrupt the orderly conduct of Government business or official functions,
				obstructs or impedes ingress or egress to or from any restricted building or
				grounds; or</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="H0EF1E5C3115A4E5384CEF530A635FA15"><enum>(4)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">knowingly engages in any act of physical
				violence against any person or property in any restricted building or
				grounds;</text>
						</paragraph><continuation-text continuation-text-level="subsection">or
				attempts or conspires to do so, shall be punished as provided in subsection
				(b).</continuation-text></subsection><subsection id="H0799A7A40BD8457F9E6845BD9537BDAE"><enum>(b)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">The punishment for a violation of
				subsection (a) is—</text>
						<paragraph id="H3597AFF3A58B455CAE72DBEAABEAFF6E"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">a fine under this title or imprisonment for
				not more than 10 years, or both, if—</text>
							<subparagraph id="H6C25DC5A73284715B5E7D73ED8E9B6EF"><enum>(A)</enum><text>any person, during
				and in relation to the offense, uses or carries a deadly or dangerous weapon or
				firearm; or</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H795C0B6F83864A9EA2ED9BAE0477E2B7"><enum>(B)</enum><text>the offense
				results in significant bodily injury as defined by section 2118(e)(3);
				and</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HE0BCD3D19C214910BC6F53ADA1A46F4E"><enum>(2)</enum><text>a fine under this
				title or imprisonment for not more than one year, or both, in any other
				case.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection><subsection id="H443656A2B7804936A4A17BE44543F3CC"><enum>(c)</enum><text>In this
				section—</text>
						<paragraph id="HDE40385C21A14C3AAB5989FB7D370F3B"><enum>(1)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the term <term>restricted buildings or
				grounds</term> means a posted, cordoned off, or otherwise restricted area of a
				building or grounds—</text>
							<subparagraph id="H2C9601A9898847CDA92AF6D154205A82"><enum>(A)</enum><text>where the
				President or other person protected by the Secret Service is or will be
				temporarily visiting; or</text>
							</subparagraph><subparagraph id="H906863FA1CB5431A922F09F5C47CC8F2"><enum>(B)</enum><text>so restricted in
				conjunction with an event designated as a special event of national
				significance; and</text>
							</subparagraph></paragraph><paragraph id="HC2447456B9AF409794CA236245A59EA7"><enum>(2)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">the term <term>other person protected by
				the Secret Service</term> means any person whom the United States Secret
				Service is authorized to protect under
				<external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/18/3056">section
				3056</external-xref> of this title when such person has not declined such
				protection.</text>
						</paragraph></subsection></section><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
		</section><section id="H2810C932D72C4F2885CC38ACFBA201A8"><enum>3.</enum><header>PAYGO
			 Compliance</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">The budgetary
			 effects of this Act, for the purpose of complying with the Statutory
			 Pay-As-You-Go Act of 2010, shall be determined by reference to the latest
			 statement titled <quote>Budgetary Effects of PAYGO Legislation</quote> for this
			 Act, submitted for printing in the Congressional Record by the Chairman of the
			 House Budget Committee, provided that such statement has been submitted prior
			 to the vote on passage.</text>
