		<official-title>To amend the National Labor Relations Act to permit
		  employers to pay higher wages to their employees.</official-title>

		<section id="H81BDE96AC3674EBF9930C761AA02294F" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Short title</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">This Act may be cited as the
			 <quote><short-title>Rewarding Achievement and
			 Incentivizing Successful Employees Act</short-title></quote> or the
			 <quote><short-title>RAISE Act</short-title></quote>.</text>
		</section><section id="H90967B9927754773A94C0125EDEF8677"><enum>2.</enum><header>Payment of higher
			 wages</header><text display-inline="no-display-inline">Section 9(a) of the
			 National Labor Relations Act (29 U.S.C. 159(a)) is amended—</text>
			<paragraph id="HCB719E2443A745CAB07CC988134DD3E7"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting
			 <quote>(1)</quote> after <quote>(a)</quote>; and</text>
			</paragraph><paragraph id="H92B3E895E6554CD0BB6B61CF6E6E11DC"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the
			 end the following:</text>
				<quoted-block display-inline="no-display-inline" id="H0B39EAF8A9324BC7B1A3DD8D645AE65F" style="OLC">
					<subsection id="H0F44F7F7EAC24D979BE4E3E5B5D832C9"><enum>(2)</enum><text>Notwithstanding a
				labor organization’s exclusive representation of employees in a unit, or the
				terms and conditions of any collective bargaining contract or agreement then in
				effect, nothing in either—</text>
						<paragraph id="HCD10FB83F5714C46B1587DDCDCB16912"><enum>(1)</enum><text>section 8(a)(1) or
				8(a)(5), or</text>
						</paragraph><paragraph id="H82E14FD3875241008BCCCA4526338F18"><enum>(2)</enum><text>a collective
				bargaining contract or agreement renewed or entered into after the date of
				enactment of the RAISE Act,</text>
						</paragraph><continuation-text continuation-text-level="subsection">shall
				prohibit an employer from paying an employee in the unit greater wages, pay, or
				other compensation for, or by reason of, his or her services as an employee of
				such employer, than provided for in such contract or
				agreement.</continuation-text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block>
