<section id="H9282CBC1893A4459928CD72F969F7E48" section-type="section-one"><enum>1.</enum><header>Protection of the religious freedom of military chaplains to close a prayer outside of a religious service according to the dictates of the chaplain’s conscience</header>
<subsection id="HCF56FF4C1A3C4DA5A6B5412D284BEA63"><enum>(a)</enum><header>United States Army</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline"><external-xref legal-doc="usc" parsable-cite="usc/10/3547">Section 3547</external-xref> of title 10, United States Code, is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection: </text>

<subsection id="H6E416A7BF0224306BC38C427C117859"><enum>(c)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If called upon to lead a prayer outside of a religious service, a chaplain shall have the prerogative to close the prayer according to the dictates of the chaplain’s own conscience.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></subsection>
<subsection id="H4330A07906534B76976E54950413E85C"><enum>(b)</enum><header>United States Military Academy</header><text>Section 4337 of such title is amended—</text>
<paragraph id="HF8DD5F333E4F4EE9B8D831B0A67E081E"><enum>(1)</enum><text>by inserting <quote>(a)</quote> before <quote>There</quote>; and</text></paragraph>
<paragraph id="H99E0AD99680E43EDA95D8520A938D9E6"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection: </text>

<subsection id="H298D1B3828C54F27AB34C52DBB0DACC"><enum>(b)</enum><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">If called upon to lead a prayer outside of a religious service, the Chaplain shall have the prerogative to close the prayer according to the dictates of the Chaplain’s conscience.</text></subsection><after-quoted-block>.</after-quoted-block></quoted-block></paragraph></subsection>
<subsection id="H539C04DB1E314670B000C5A8423C508F"><enum>(c)</enum><header>United States Navy and Marine Corps</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 6031 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>

<subsection id="H79F9A9E3BEE5409693CB015B334FD4C"><enum>(d)</enum><header>United States Air Force</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 8547 of such title is amended by adding at the end the following new subsection:</text>

<subsection id="HEF58AEA67CBB48D99FE4A256DC04365C"><enum>(e)</enum><header>United States Air Force Academy</header><text display-inline="yes-display-inline">Section 9337 of such title is amended—</text>

<paragraph id="HFD9BA271EF8A4A20BBC45C67F1F3D64D"><enum>(2)</enum><text>by adding at the end the following new subsection: </text>
